Nearly an hour and a half after breakfast, Remus showed up to take the young trio to Diagon Alley. Ron and Harry were bursting with excitement of the upcoming school year, and Ginny was excited because she always loved going to Diagon Alley.

"Moony!" Harry shouted when Remus walked in the door. "Look what came!"

"I see," Remus said. "Guess that means we're all set to go then?"

"Whenever you're ready, Remus. I have to leave now, thank you for taking them." Lily said in a rush, preparing to apparate to the Ministry of Magic.

"Have a great day, Lils. See you tonight." Remus said, smiling at her. Lily thanked her and promptly apparated out of the house. Remus turned to the children. "Do you guys have everything?"

"Yup!" They all said. Remus laughed at their enthusiasm, and went to get the floo powder.

One by one, the four of them flooed to Diagon Alley. Like always, it was bustling with energy. Even more so now because of the upcoming school year.

"Ok, we're meeting Molly and the others for lunch in about three hours, so if we hurry, we can take everything back before we meet up." Remus seemed to ponder something for a moment. "Harry, Ron, you two go get your robes, and your dragonhide gloves, while Ginny and I go get your books. After that, we'll go get your other equipment. Shouldn't take longer than two hours."

Remus gave Ron and Harry the money they need to get their robes, and sent them off. Unfortunately for them, when they walked in, Draco Malfoy was also getting his robes fitted. Ron groaned, and Harry rolled his eyes.

"Just our luck. Maybe we can convince Remus to let us come back later." Ron suggested.

"No, the quicker we finish, the quicker we can get lunch." Harry said, dragging Ron fully into the store. Madam Malkin saw them and ushered them to where she was fitting Draco.

"Two more first years, I presume?" She asked the two boys. When they nodded, she walked over to the stacks of robes she had sitting by her work station. She grabbed two pairs and handed one to each of them. "Put these on, I'm almost done with Mr. Malfoy here.

Forty-five minutes later, Ron and Harry walked out of Madam Malkin's with new sets of robes for the both of them.

"Well, there goes the majority of my school budget." Ron said. Harry looked at him.

"At least we don't have much left now. All we need is potion sets and our wands."

"Mom is making me use Charlie's old wand. You know, the one hanging on by a thread? Maybe I'll get lucky and it'll break soon."

Harry didn't say anything after that. Sometimes, it was better not to when it came to the Weasley's financial situation. Harry's parents once offered to help them, but they declined, saying that they already had enough to worry about since they were helping Remus as well. At least Arthur had a job, they had said.

Remus, Ginny, Ron, and Harry finished shopping an hour and a half later, giving them forty-five minutes to take their stuff back to the Potter's place and go back to Diagon Alley to meet up with the rest of the group.

"I'm starving!" Ron said as soon as they were done with their shopping. Ginny rolled her eyes.

"You had breakfast like, four hours ago. I think you'll survive." She told her brother.

"I think not." He replied.

"You can't eat unless we take this stuff back to the house. Then we can go meet up with Molly."

"Well, then what are we waiting for?" Ron asked. "Let's go!"

They reached the designated fireplace for flooing in and out of Diagon Alley, and split the shopping evenly between them so that they didn't have to make multiple trips back to Diagon Alley to take it home and risk someone taking the bags.

"Ok, Harry go first, then Ron, then Ginny. I'll go last." Remus told the three kids before him. They all nodded, and flooed back to the Potter's house in respective turns, Remus following them.

When Remus got back to the house, he took all the bags into the kitchen and set them on the table, and then walked back into the living room.

"You guys can relax for about thirty minutes until we need to leave again. I'll be upstairs, writing Minerva an owl to tell her you'll be attending this year, Harry. Don't cause trouble."

Remus walked upstairs, leaving the Ron, Harry, and Ginny downstairs.

"Chess?" Harry asked Ron.

"Ok," he agreed. "But you already know what the outcome is going to be."

Hey guys! This chapter was kind of a filler, but kind of not at the same time. My brother would use the term "Semi-Canon" like he does for his anime shows.... but it's all canon so... Idk. Anyways, if you can't tell, I'm going to be updating on Thursdays. The reason this chapter isn't as long as some of my other chapters is because I had a hard time writing this. I don't know why, I just did. I'll probably end up fixing this chapter again when I go back and fix the paragraph issues in some of the previous chapters.

That being said, I may or may not be able to post next Thursday. Hurricane Florence is supposed to hit us tomorrow, and we might (more likely than not at this point, seeing how things are going) lose power. If we lose power, I don't know how long it's going to take to get power back. I'll need to save my computer battery for school, and my phone battery for emergencies, so I probably won't give a heads up. Pray for us Carolinians. and the parts of Georgia and Virginia who are getting hit as well. I'll definetly have a chapter written in a notebook, so if we have power Thursday, I'll post it. Anyway, see y'all next week (hopefully).

Quick, save the sundrop!
