Marcus woke me up the next morning and told me to hurry up and get ready because we had to go outside to the convention and like socialise or something, I wasn't really listening. I got up anyway though and hurried as fast as I could to get ready.

By the time I was running a hand through my hair Marcus was standing by the door, tapping his foot impatiently. "I'm ready," I said after slipping my feet into my shoes.

I followed Marcus downstairs and outside. He met up with some people I didn't really recognise and I waved and smiled at them and they did the same back, but it was kind of awkward. I always felt awkward around people though. I guess I just wasn't a great people person.

We walked for a bit until we came to an area that looked like it was setup for us. I guess when Marcus said we were going somewhere to socialise, he meant we were going somewhere that was already set up for us. Like a meetup. I'd never been more nervous in my life.

There was a line of people and it looked like people had actually come to see us. Well more likely Marcus and his other friends, not me, but my name was on the little signy thing and I had my own chair. That must been something, like at least some people knew who I was.

I sat down in my designated chair and watched as girl after girl came up to get pictures and signatures from the other boys as I just sat there. It was okay though, I liked watching things happen and just listening and observing.

After about fifty or so people had come up there was this one girl who looked really shy who walked up to us. "Hi, I just want a picture with Alfie please," she said timidly walking past all the other boys to the end of the row where I was.

I was shocked, this girl was here for me and only me. She wasn't here for the other boys, just for me. "Can I have a picture?" she asked holding out her phone.

"Of course," I said smiling as I held the phone out and snapped a few pictures for her. I then signed her notebook and the look on her face was one I would never forget. She looked so happy to meet me and that made me so happy as well. Something like this had never happened to me before and it was such an amazing feeling. "Thank you for coming," I said with a smile to the girl after we had finished talking for a bit.

"Thank you for being you," she said with an even bigger smile before she walked off.

It was a great start to a great day, and even better things were to come. I had that party I got to go to, and it was going to be great.
