As I walk down the street I can't help but smile. It feels nice to be in a normal society where no one knows who you are. No one knows I have a power, I feel indifferent.

I look over at the only two people on the street at this time of night, there's some shady dude that's selling drugs to another shady looking dude.

I never thought I would say this but I missed being around shady people. Normal drug dealing and stabbing shady people, not Shadow and the school shady people.

I know this is a bad idea but if I get attacked I can set them on fire. I walk across the street over to the two shady people.

They both flinch when I tap on the shoulder over the guy selling the drugs.

"What? You want some drugs too?" He asks looking me up and down.

I sigh, "You know I could be a cop right."

The guy buying the drugs instantly runs away.

His face instantly grows all scared, "Man I'm not selling any drugs."

I shake my head, "Don't worry, I'm not a cop. I just need to know where I am."

"Depends. For a five I could tell you." He says leaning up against the building.

"Tell me or I'll call the cops." I say shrugging.

He rolls his eyes before walking away.

I mentally groan before walking in the opposite direction. I mean I guess I don't need to know where I am. When someone taps on my shoulder I expect it to be the drug dealer but it's not.

I take off in a bolt, how did he find me? Wait how does he always know where I am?

I quickly turn into a dark alley when I hear Shadow call my name. How do you out run someone who does even need to back peddle to get to you?

I'm about to turn out of the alley when the bracelet that Shadow gave me gets caught on the rusty metal fence that blocks past of the alley from the street. I tug and pull on it but all it does it create noise.

I quickly unhook the bracelet before continuing to run out of the other side of the alley. I don't stop running till I'm at a bus station.

I hunch over breathing heavily. I will never be a track star, running sucks! I'm just surprised I didn't trip and fall.

I look around expecting to see Shadow but he's no where to be seen.

I look down at my wrist. Dang when I pulled on the bracelet all it did was make my wrist red and a bit sore.

I quickly board a bus when it stops and people go to get off. The bus driver doesn't notice so I make my way to the back of the bus where only a couple of people are sitting.

I don't know where I'm going but I don't really care. I could be going in the opposite direction of the school. I mean knowing my luck these past few weeks, I probably am.

I lie my head against the wall and I close my eyes. I'm so tired. Second by second my eyes grow heavier and heavier. The sounds of the bus wheels is quite calming, it makes me even tireder.

As soon as my eyes close I'm out. It's probably not the most ideal place to sleep but I feel safe here. This is probably the safest I've felt in a long time.
