I wake up, then i look at my chest. The knife is gone. I have a hole in my chest, but it doesn't stop me from moving. I stand up and look around. Where's Racqueline? I thought she was the one who took care of me. But i remembered. The blast was heard after Racqueline's screaming. Did she die? I turn and look at the fireplace where we set it up to cook up the human meat. I then hear a voice,

Hi. I jump and turn around. It's Alery, Alex, Ben, David, and Matt.

Please don't hurt me,i tell them.

It's okay. Alery told us all about you,states Ben. I feel relieved. I should've known that the fire we started would've grabbed attention by the smell.

What happened to me?i asked.

Elin and Tail found you. Tail threw the knife into your chest. Elin was about to kill Racqueline, but she managed to remove the knife from your chest and throw it perfectly into Elin's eye,explains Alex. Again, i fell relieved. That means that Racqueline is okay, and i am too. But, yet, i still feel bad. Tail's father was killed.

How did you even know?i ask Alex.

We smelled fire, and it led to you. By the time we made it there, Tail threw the knife,he tells me. Wow. Im surprised that if Elin and Tail weren't there, then we would've been killed by those guys.

Im going to travel. To look for LittleCutie, i mean Racqueline,i tell them.

Its okay. We'll protect you,Alery says. I turn around and spot a squirrel on the branch of a tree.

Aww, how cute,i say. I stare at it for a few seconds, then it scares me. It opened its mouth, revealing sharp teeth. When it blinked, the eye color would change from chestnut to red. I look around to find more squirrels.

Guys. These aren't real squirrels,i tell them.

Run! Now!Alery yells. We all run away, but only the Careers stayed behind.

What are you guys doing?! They'll kill you,i yell. I watch as they continuously murder the squirrels. Alex slicing them in half. Ben, Matt, and David are grab the squirrels from the tail and tossing them out of the biome/area. I then see Alery.

Watch out!Alery yells at me. He pushrs me out of the way, as a squirrel bares its teeth into Alery's cheek. I gasp in surprise. He saved my life. I was his mentor, so he payed me back of what i did to him. I saved his life, and he saved mine.

Run!he yells with his eyes bawling out tears. I start to cry and run away. The Careers follow me. I look back and see Alery with a face full of hungry squirrels. I sob even more. I knew that he wouldn't make it. I look up at the sky, to only see the pictures of the dead tributes. I see Elin and Alery's faces up there. The sky turns dark, and the anthem stops playing. I cry and turn to Alex.

Thanks. You helped me,i tell him. He nods in agreement. I rest until im fully awoken. My search for Racqueline is still very important for me. I start to wonder. Can she live until i get there? I look at a bush to find dark berries. Never mind. They're probably nightlock, which is highly poisonous. I turn to see that the Careers are still sleeping. I wait until they wake up. Suddenly, i here a cannon blast, and the scream of a young little girl. I continue to worry. Who was it? Not Racqueline, right?
