epilogue | the others
"you fucking hid this from us this whole time!?" yoongi pushed jungkook into a wall, while namjoon and jimin tried to pull yoongi back.
the four boys decided that they better have read the journal in an empty space ー the boy's washroom.
yoongi and jimin had completely different reactions, while jimin feels guilty and heartbroken, yoongi feels more angry, at himself for that matter. but still, yoongi is heartbroken.
"he didn't find out about the goddamn journal until yesterday yoongi, calm down!" namjoon shouted, towering over the boy.
"if we decided to put our heads together and realise that y/n seemed like she was ending relationships on purpose, she could still be here," yoongi yelled, hitting a wall with his fist.
"y/n can't be gone," he finally cried, "we shouldn't have found that book because all she wanted was for us to be happy that she was gone, and now look at us."
"here we are, reading the words on those pages and sobbing," yoongi turned around, wiping the tears on his cheeks.
"it isn't easy for any of us," jimin sighs, imagining how would it be like if he just realised that you turned into someone that you never wanted to be, he could've saved you. he could've saved himself.
-
a day passed since jimin and yoongi found out about the depressing news about y/n, and soon enough, the others learned about it.
no one was happy.
with everyone filled with guilt, they all sat at the same lunch table in complete silence, picking at their food.
"we should just continue with our lives, we can't sulk every day now," seokjin sighed, staring at the others.
"what else are we supposed to do? she's gone and we were to busy hating her to even say goodbye," says hoseok.
"i think seokjin hyung is right," jimin finally let out.
"i can't," taehyung cried.
"we need to."
"you didn't know her like i did though," taehyung said, and jimin stiffened up.
"yeah, i did," jimin replied, "she was kind, she was my everything. me and her dated, alright? we broke up because of an arranged marriage and even though i insisted many times that me and her should run away together, she said i needed to find a happiness that wasn't her, and she wanted me to enjoy life. she was everything you could possibly want in a girl, she was perfect."
-
a week later, your funeral was held, everyone expected that no one would've showed up, only your parents.
but then the seven boys walked in, and one of them made his way towards the microphone.
"hi, my name is jimin."
