I hope you enjoy it!

You looked up from your book out the window in front of you as the rain continued to pour down outside. You pulled the beige blanket in your lap closer to you as you sighed. You hated waiting. You put the the book down in your lap and rolled yourself from the window back into your room. It's been a few months since the accident and your condition was getting progressively better. Yesterday, during physical therapy, you managed to walk from your bed to the hallway and back. You smiled as you replayed the memory, recollecting the faces of your doctor's expression as he watched you learn to walk again. When you made it back to your bed, the phone in your room began to ring. You sighed, slightly annoyed that you'd have to go back in the opposite side of your room for the phone, but you rolled anyway. When you made it to the phone, you had pulled on the cord to knock it off the wall and answered. "Hello?" You answered. "Hey babe! I'm almost there, don't worry!" You heard a very familiar voice say. "Okay! I can't wait to see you!" You replied before the other line had hung up. Eiichi Ootori, your boyfriend of 4½ months. He's been very supportive of you since the accident, and he has been the sweetest thing to you ever since. Not that he wasn't before, but now it was more adamant. You didn't have to wait very long because in a little over an hour later, Eiichi was there in your doorway, holding a bouquet of your favorite flowers. "Hey, (Y/N), how have you been?" He asked, a slanted smirk was smacked on his face. "Hey, Eiichi! I'm doing great, thanks for asking. How was work?" You asked, a bright smile on your face. He looked over and laughed, effectively dismissing your question, all though you hadn't noticed. "I missed you much, (Y/N). How's my favorite girl?" He asked, causing a blush to rise to your face. "I'm doing good." You responded, that dopey smile still on your face. Just then, Eiichi knelt to your level and kissed your forehead. "That's wonderful." He smiled. It felt like forever since he smiled for you. "Hey, (Y/N), I have a question to ask you." He said suddenly, grabbing your attention. "I know it's only been four months since we've started dating." He began. Your eyes went wide and your heart began beating excitedly. "For some, four months isn't all that long, but I think it's been long enough." He took a breath after his sentence, most likely to calm his nerves. He looked into your eyes and you smiled back, your heart practically beating out of your chest. You couldn't breathe at the nervousness that stacked in your throat and piled in your stomach. Finally, determination filled his eyes and he spoke. "I don't want you to be my girlfriend anymore." These words fell flat as you swore you heard your heart break. Your eyes glossed over immediately and tears streaked down your face. His face was flushed red and he was stricken with worry. He didn't know what he could do to make you stop. "Why are you crying? I haven't even gotten to the question yet!" He said, making you hiccup a response. "I'm afraid of what the question is." How could you not be? Surely, the question was going to along the lines of 'Can we break-up?'; How could you knowingly await for the death of a love you lived for. He grabs your hands and looks up at you, fear in his eyes. "Are you saying that you don't want to get married?" He asked. "Of course I want to get married!" You sobbed out. "Then what's the problem?" He asked, your heart shattering further. "I want to get married to you!" You said. "I don't get it. Then what's the issue?" You began to grow frustrated. "You were going to break up with me!" You yelled through the tears. "Wait, who said that?" He asked. "Y-you did. You said you didn't want me to be your girlfriend anymore." He looked at you, wide-eyed. "No, babe. I don't want you to be my girlfriend anymore, because I want you to be my wife. I was going to ask you to marry me." You sat there for a minute, the tears still running down your face. An awkward silence had engifled the two of you for a good chunk of time. The two of you just sat there, staring at each other's eyes, looking for any sign of emotion or something to signal a joke or something to signal the other for a response. Finally, you snickered which caused Eiichi to snicker. Not too long after, the both of you had escalated to side-splitting laughter. You had laughed at each other for 15 minutes straight. After your laughing spurt, you looked at him, a huge smile on your face. "Of course I'll marry you." His face lit up like the Fourth of July. You two married as soon as you could walk, and had a beautiful ceremony. That day had been the best visit ever. Even if you forgot what happened before...
