How could you understand me? I'm the kind of boy that stuffs his face with pills to try to be normal. I won't lie, the pills help sometimes. Usually, they just make him stand there silently, but, occasionally, if I'm lucky, he won't come at all. If I try real hard, I just might make him go away. All I need to do is think about who I love the most... Jewel Erry. She always makes me less stressed. It was something about her wavy brown hair and her sparkling hazel eyes that made me feel safe. I love her bravery. Nothing can stand in the way of her getting what she wants. She can always make anybody smile, especially her best friend Deneice Denephew, who I've grown pretty-close to as they're always with each other. They're like a package deal. You can't have Jewel without Denice, and you can't have Denice without Jewel. I don't mind though, as Denice is a cool girl to hang out with. I don't know how she manages, but she can always crack the perfect joke at the perfect time. I sometimes wonder what Jewel thinks of my best friend, Joe Cup. We're a sort of package deal type, too. He's a really-great guy. You would never know because of how emotional he is, but he's an outgoing guy. He has no problem standing up for himself or for us, he's what you may call the mom of the group.

I'm pretty-sure Jewel and Denice like him though, as the four of always hang out together. Generally, when you put a huge group of 300 some 17, 18-year-old's in one place, they group together based on their interests and that's how we get stereotypes. We all know the basic group of girls that think they're better than everyone else because they carry designer purses and can do the splits, also known as, the populars. Denice seems pretty intimidated by them sometimes, especially Aileen. Aileen Back is one of the meanest, pettiest girls you've ever met in your life. I'm surprised she keeps her two followers, Terri Cloth and May Not with the way she treats them. Then again, Terri and May aren't all that great either.

Then we have the nerds, and the jocks, and the goths, and the hipsters, and all the other basic stereotypes, but, me and my friends don't really fit into any of them. We're not nerds as we don't live off books and school. Joe is decent at sports, but he's not really a jock, not to mention the fact that Denice can't run or catch a ball for her life. Goth and hipster stereotypes are just completely out of the question. I guess you could call us misfits. You know, the other night's leftovers that you had to throw out because it was taking up more space in the fridge than it deserved.

But we found comfort in each other.
