Chapter 9

''Hey beautiful''
I turned around at the voice closing my locker and am shocked to see him standing there.
''John!'',I exclaimed.
''So you still remember me'',he said with a smirk.
''What are you doing here?'',I asked.
''Well am back'',he said curtly.
I rolled my eyes at him and proceeded to move past him.He grabbed my hands.
''If you don't want a kick in your balls let me go'',I hissed at him.
He smirked and let go of my hand.
''Your attitude turns me on so much babe'',he said.
''Get lost'',I spat out and shove past him.

''Hey Ryan'',I waved at him on my way to class.
He looked at me and diverted his eyes.I jogged up to catch with him.
''Hey what's wrong?'',I asked him.
He shook his head.
''Hey comeon.Spill it'',I said,nudging him on the elbow.
''Whose that guy you were talking to earlier?'',he signed.
''Who?'',I asked him im confusion.
''The one whom you were talking to in front of your locker.Is he...?'',he signed and abruptly stopped.
''You mean John.Is he what?'',I asked him.
''Is he your boyfriend?'',he signed looking away.
''What?No.Eww.He's a jerk.He had been the school's number one bully and apparently claimes to have a liking towards me.He had tried making moves on me many a time but am Veronica Gomez,noone gets to touch me against my will.I slapped him once when he tried touching me inappropriately.His family had shifted from here two years ago but now it seems he's back.Oh how I wish I could strangle him.I literally hate him.God,what made you think he's my boyfriend'',I said.
Ryan gave me a small smile,adjusting his specs.
''Forget about him.You know I was thinking if you would like to hang out with me after school.Maybe we can go to the ice-cream parlour?'',I asked him.
He looked at me grinning.
''So I take that as a yes'',I said and grinned back.

''So so my girl is with a mutey now'',John said with a smirk leaning on our counter.
What the hell was he doing here?
I and Ryan had gone to an ice-cream parlour that evening and were rejoicing our treats,spending time together when out of nowhere this jerk had to intrude in.
''What are you doing here?And am not your girl'',I hissed at him.
''Well this ice-cream parlour is a public place you see.Anyone can cone here anytime.Noone needs for your permission'',John said.
''Fine.But you are disturbing us'',I said.
Ryan stared at him blankly.
''Why I should know who is trying to steal my girl?And by the way you are looking gorgeous in that red tank top amd beige skirt'',he said while his eyes trailed along my body,coming to a rest on my breasts.
I looked away from him in disgust.
''Get lost John.We have no time to waste on you.Find a bait for yourself.Let's go Ryan'',I said and stood up.
He blocked our path.
''Not so easily.First I deal with this mutey here,then you baby'',he said pointing at me and licking his lips.
''You are a disgusting jerk John.I think you have seriously forgotten the slap I gave you'',I hissed at him.
''How can I forget that?You can slap me now as well.Atleast you will touch me by doing so'',he replied leaning nearer to me.
''You are sick'',I hissed and grabbed Ryan's hands to go out but John yanked his hands from me.
''What the hell John?'',I asked in anger.
''Noone touches my girl.Especially not you mutey'',he hissed and proceeded to punch Ryan.
Before I could do anything,I found John lying on the floor groaning in pain.
I looked at Ryan in shock.He breathed erratically.
Ryan punched him straight where the sun doesn't shine.
Everyone in the ice-cream parlour was stunned seeing this.
''Let's go'',I said,grabbing Ryan's hands.
After we got out of there,we walked down the street side by side.He didn't glance at me once.His jaws were clenched tightly.
''I didn't know you were such a kickass.Honestly,I loved it'',I said looking at him.
He looked at me and a small smile tugged at my lips.
He stared seriously at me for sometime and then burst into laughter.
I started laughing as well.
''God you just knocked John out with a simple punch.It was awesome!'',I exclaimed.
He smiled and signed,''Well I did learn kick-boxing when I was a kid.''
''That's just great'',I said still laughing.
We walked into the park and sat down on the bench.
''You know I hadn't laughed so freely for a long time'',he signed.
''Really?'',I asked.
He nodded his head and looked up at the sky.
I stared at him in awe.He was just amazing.I think am silently falling for him.
''Ryan'',I murmured.
He looked at me.
''Nothing'',I said.
He smiled at me and I smiled back.
We gazed at the stars quietly.
I had never liked silence that much before.
