A week later, and Eren was finally ungrounded. As he sat in his bed, his homework discarded on the floor, he received a text.

6:00 P.M.
Hello, Eren, it's Levi. Are you ungrounded?

Saving the number as a contact under the name Levi, Eren smiled as he leaned back against his pillow, hurriedly typing an answer.

To: Levi
6:01 P.M.
Yeah, hey Levi ^-^ how was ur day ???

Cringing, Eren shrunk down. What if the use of the face was too much? What if his question was too typical, too tacky? He began to worry.

Fine. And yours?

Blinking, Eren's smile slowly returned. He liked how fast Levi was when sending a reply; he didn't seem to be prone to ignoring a text.

As Eren was typing a reply, Levi sent another text.

Eren, you should really be getting to dinner.

A moment later, a knock sounded at Eren's door.

Terrified, the brunette jumped, nearly tumbling off his bed. Seconds went by before Carla poked her head in, her hair disheveled in its typical side-ponytail. "Hey," she said softly. "Dinner is ready." She paused, pointing towards Eren's homework strewn out all over the floor. "I hope you plan on finishing that," she stated warningly before exiting, leaving a dumbfounded Eren to his own devices.

Right after you told me to get to dinner, my mom showed up telling me that dinner was ready. that was SUPER freaky. lmao I think u have magic powers

Eren wasn't going to hide how weirded out he was.

Well shit, I was only saying that to mess with you. I didn't actually think your mom would call you for dinner . . . Damn, that must've been really fucked up. Sorry, Eren. And just so you know, I have 0 magical powers and I'm not some creepy stalker.

Forcing out a laugh, Eren brushed off the situation as a coincidence.

At the dinner table, Eren couldn't shake some kind of sinister feeling. Playing around with his meal, he swallowed. A part of him couldn't help but wonder . . .

Was it really a coincidence?
