*Jack's POV*

With everyones stomachs full, we could all set off again. I kind of wish Peter hadn't told us about, "going up the mountains". It sounds like alot of work and effort just for a simple day out. And maybe it sounded slightly creepy.

After an hour and a half, everyone is getting slightly irritated. Alex's leg is fidgeting next to mine, and it is gonna take all of my energy not to bash him the face. Ten minutes into the drive and Peter had told us that "The mountains" was just a nice hill somewhere remote, and that there was a little cabin look out area that meant if it got cold we could sit in there and just chill out. I personally liked the idea of the cabin, so I silently hoped that it would rain.

So far, the journey has been wonderful and the weather is just as good.

"Is that the hill you plan on taking us up?" Alex asks, his head sticking out the window.

"Of course, we'll be there in a minute." His mom replies, sticking her own head out of her window. The view was amazing; A bright sunlight bouncing off the huge hill that lay to the left, and a row of small two floor houses littering the right. A few strangers walk slowly up the right hand side with their dogs, their flip flops slapping against the hot pavement. I smile at them walking by, my feet stretching out in front of me and my hands laying in my lap.

"Mom," Tom questions, "Could we just sit in the cabin all day?" his is voice playful yet his words serious. At that, I try and hide a giggle as we drive into a parking lot, Alex's dad driving around the large empty stretch of ground before parking right next to an opening in the trees.

"We're going to hed up those stairs and we'll be on our way." Peter exclaims, opening his car door and stepping out.

"Come on, guys!" He huffs, opening the left back door to let Alex out. Alex replies with a quick, "thanks Dad." And we're on our way. Alex, Tom and I, shuffling out of the small red car and out into the shade.

"Jack, Hunny?" Mrs Gaskarth asks, her attention set on the small deckchair that seems stuck in the boot of the car.

  "Yeah?"

"You look hot, do you want to borrow some of Alex's swimming shorts?" She says, her hands on her hips and a small smile on her face.

"Actually, "she continues, "Never mind. You're gonna put them on and that's final." She says, now wearing a smug smile.

"Mom! You can't force him!" Alex gasps, coming over and standing by my side defensively.

"Alex, it's fine! I'm okay with wearing your bright pink swimming trunks." I giggle out, catching sight of the bright peice of clothing in Julians hand.

"They were not my idea." Alex huffs out, stalking back to the opening in the trees and standing there, his little hands on his hips. I greatfully accept the brightly coloured shorts in Julians hands and head over towards Alex.

"Jaaaack!" Alex whines, pouting his lips at me.

"Alexxxx!" I whine back, mimicking the older boy. He drops down to the floor and picks up a small bag, placing it into the crook of his elbow.

"Just shut up, my mom picked them out." He says, and he turns, following his dad up the stairs and into the trees. I smirk up at his back as I follow him up the stairs, realising that once you step up past the first layers of trees, its just plain hard ground, a few paths marked out on the floor and the sun beaming down on us because of the lack of shade.

"This way!" Peter instructs, pointing at a more faded sign and walking away, signalling for us to follow him. The new path is gorgeous; It's a wide opening in the dence trees that seem to fold over each other to create a tunnel, and it feels like something out of a movie. I could see a bright light at the end of it and realise that the trees are coming to a stop. I step out into the sun and gaze around, thinking maybe this is where we are stopping. My hopes come crashing down when Peter heads off again, down another patch of dence trees. I hear Alex huff besides me, and we're off, walking slowly towards Peter.
