Apparently Ken has informed his dear mother about the divorce and you can bet she was more than excited to get rid of me.
She has decided to come along with us to the lawyer because she " has a few things to talk about" according to her.
She just couldn't keep her bloody mouth shut on the ride to the lawyer's office and I just don't have time for her nonsense.

We all got settled inside the lawyer's office and my MIL is now talking her rubbish.
"Can you please calm down Mrs Williams snr, I can barely get your point"Mrs Lawson said trying to calm her.
"Am sorry about the disturbance I just wanted to pass some messages across to this woman" she replied
"Well you have to be calm about it, we can't resolve anything by making so much noise and arguing" Mrs Lawson answered
"Okay"
"Now I will like to address you ma if that okay since you want to get involve in the whole divorce issue"
"Of course go ahead with your questions"Mrs Williams answered
"Are you in support of this divorce?
"Yes I am fully in support of it I never approved of the relationship in the first place" she replied
I just tuned out her voice because I know fully what she is going to say. Bad mouthing me and all that
I was so lost in thought that I didn't hear my name being called until I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"Sorry I got carried away" I apologize to her
"You see how rude she is tuning me out and refusing to acknowledge my presence " my MIL hissed out.
"So we all know that the both parties have agree to go into this divorce without reconciliation or do any of you have anything else to say before we finalize this? She asked looking at us all expectantly
"No" we all replied
"Well then I believe it will be better for both parties to stay apart during the divorce process if that okay"
"Yes"
"Yes"
"No no they can't do that" my MIL shouted unexpectedly
Facing her " why do you think it is not appropriate for them to stay apart" Mrs Lawson asked
"Ken's father is running for a political position and I wouldn't allow a nasty divorce put a blemish on my husband file thereby terminating his opportunities" she answered
"You ar so selffish, how can you only think anout yourself and your perfect husband in a situation like this. Don't you think I deserve some kind of peace" I fired back angrily
"Mum she is right, we can't stay under the same roof it will be so uncomfortable. She can just get a secret apartment somewhere" Ken reasoned out
"No you guys will have to stay out in the house together. The press and opposition parties will be looking for loop holes and any mistake can cost a lot of lost and we can't afford for that to happen" she said
"I believe this decision is between the two of them now because I won't want any discomfort for anyone of them so that are hour conclusion" Mrs Lawson question
After giving it so much consideration I decided to play my cards right and take control and advantage of the situation.
"If I am going to be staying under the same roof with this man I think some rules are going to be layer down and it a take or leave situation" I replied
"Trust the bitch to milk out in every situation" my MIL grumbled
"You know me too well" I answered sarcastically giving her a sly smile
"So what are the conditions Mrs Lily" the lawyer inquired
"Firstly, no more cooking. I mean I can't be cooking for a man who is not my husband it more like a waste of time. Secondly, I move into one of the guest rooms in the house. I seriously need my privacy. Thirdly, I believe I am a free woman so I have the right to come in and go out any time that pleases me. Fourthly, I get a job. I can't just be sitting around the house without doing anything you know the idle hand is the devil workshop and..."
"Isn't that enough for you" my MIL cut in rudely
"I wasn't even gone with the rules please. Last but not the least I get to date and see other people. I have to move forward and start going out with men" I later with a big smile😀
"Mr Ken, Mrs Williams do you have any objection" the lawyer asked
"What do you mean by you can't be cooking is Ken not your husband? And you cannot be seeing other men that just a way to prove you are a whore a big one at that"
"Am not his mother you are and I believe since you are so happy about the divorce why don't you cook for him or get him an housemaid to do those" I said
"Lily you can't just decide to stop doing all those thing especially seeing other guys you are a mother for crying out loud you........."
"Sing to be mother at that Ken and it is either you agree to this terms or we have no deal then" I interrupted Ken speech
"Let the bitch have her fun, am sure she is going to regret it and come back begging us for help" Mrs Williams said with pride
"I would rather sell my soul to the devil than to beg for your help" I replied sharply
"Those conditions are still so absorbed you will still be living under my son roof and still be spending his money" Mrs Williams said
"As a tenant in the house not a wife or a maid. And those money I will be spending will be those ones that are rightfully mine after 10 years of faithfulness. I plan on getting a job very soon" I winked at her getting an horrified look from her.
"Mr Ken do you agree to all these? The lawyer asked
"I guess I have no choice since it is just till the divorce is finalize " Ken said miserably
"And one more thing, no touching me or trying to seduce me" I put in just to annoy the two of them
"My son have much self control than to come running between your legs. Moreover there are girls out there who are better than you are"my MIL answered rudely
"If that all I will like you all to sign some document in order for o start the divorce process and you are free to go through each of them" Mrs Lawson said passing us some papers to read.
I couldn't keep myself from smiling at the plan I have in my head
Ken is going to regret the day he ever demanded for that divorce I will make him come crawling back to me.
