I was taking my daily walk, happily walking around the campus. I walked into a store to buy something, and I heard talking. I recognized the voices to be Ruby, Meg, and another person named Azazel.
"Ugh, I can't take it!" Meg exclaimed.
"He's so fucking gay!" Ruby chimed in, "We need to do something about him!"
"Exactly," Azazel agreed, "I hate faggots. How about we attack Sam when he's away from Gabriel?"
I gave a small gasp, my eyes widening. I had to get away from there and away from these psychopaths. I ran back to my dorm, managing to trip over a rock. I got up and continued running. I didn't stop until I got back to my dorm, catching my breath before walking inside.
"Sam, your elbow!" Gabe pointed out when he saw me. I shrugged and pulled out my notebook.
I scraped it when I tripped over a rock, I wrote.
"Are you ok? You look scared," Gabriel noted.
I'm fine, just tired, I wrote. Why was I lying? I didn't know.
"Well, ok," Gabe muttered, "But could we go to the comic book store? I wanna check some comics out."
I nodded, trying to calm down. We walked to the comic book store, and I was a bit jumpy. I was worried Meg, Ruby, and Azazel would attack me. I stayed close to Gabriel as he looked at comic books, though I don't think he noticed me.
"I'm gonna go to the bathroom," Gabe suddenly said. I nodded as he walked toward the bathrooms. I stood in the middle of the store, slightly paranoid. I noticed Azazel walking toward me, and I knew I was screwed. I wasn't good at self-protection.
"Hey, Sam," he said, "I heard there was a fan store just down the street. I know you like Doctor Who."
Leave me alone, I signed.
Azazel frowned, and then punched me in the nose. I heard a crunch, and immediately pain flared throughout my whole head. My hand instinctively went to my nose to protect it from further damage. When I pulled my hand away, there was blood. I felt my panic levels rise, but I tried to calm down. Azazel was laughing at me.
I clenched my fist and tried punching him back, but he grabbed my arm and suddenly punched me in the stomach. I doubled over, the pain making me feel dizzy. He kicked my leg out from under me with a sickening crack. I crumpled to the floor, unable to hold back tears from the pain.
Suddenly, I heard Azazel yelp. I managed to lift my head and see Gabriel trying to drag Azazel away from me. Security ran over and grabbed Azazel.
"This isn't over, faggot!" he yelled at me. Gabe ran over to me.
"Sam, are you okay?" he asked.
I gave him an annoyed look. No, I was not okay. He pulled out a tissue and started trying to wipe the blood from my nose. I winced a few times, but he managed to clean up my face very well. Gabe kissed my forehead. I reached out and grabbed his hand, holding it reassuringly.
The next few minutes were hazy, but I remember that at one point, paramedics had put me in an ambulance, and Gabriel came with me to the hospital.
The days all seemed to blur together. My leg was in a cast, being the only thing that was damaged too badly. I remember that Dean would come see me a lot, often having Gabe with him. I remembered Cas being there, and even the two boys Lucifer and Michael, whom I barely even knew.
In a week, I was ready to go home. I was supposed to use crutches for another week. I walked back to my dorm, looking odd with my crutches. I opened the door and limped inside.
"You're finally back!" Gabe exclaimed, hugging me. I smiled and hugged him back. "It's been lonely here without you." I kissed his forehead, hoping everything would be alright now.
