When do you want to wake up, pincess? We're going to leave you behind, and we're never coming back.

I woke up in a jolt.

Hearing such a familiar voice, I look around and see if he was there, but he's nowhere, and the voice, as it turns out, was from a dream. But then, I was still convinced he's around here somewhere, and I know it.

I wasn't used much on this new environment, but I stood up, feeling the marble floor's coldness against my skin. With a robe that looks more like a bathrobe than a sleeping dress, I tuck it closer to my body, feeling it's warmth and smelling the fragrance of apples. As soon as I walk past the large door, I turn right and see him there.

"What in the world are you doing here?"

I blurted out the first thing that comes to mind.

He was wearing his usual outfit of his blue robes with lined prints and tight black pants. His shoes were white boots with a beautiful rust-colored pattern, and he had some sash of white cloth hanging on his shoulders. He walked around me. He looks at me menacingly, but I can tell his intentions is merely a joke, for I see the smile that's forming on his lips.

"The king is calling you. Don't you want to meet with him for the festival?"

I scratch my head, still feeling sleepiness in my eyes and a heavy feeling upon my shoulders.

"What, a festival for my birthday? I know the kites are beautiful, but then I can meet with my father whenever I wish."

His lips twithced with annoyance, his smile turned to a frown.

"You already got me in trouble, you know. Assisting you around the palace... pfft."

He paused and tried to stop himself from laughing.

"I don't care if you're a princess right now. Back then, you're just an annoying little girl who likes taking pictures."

"Shut the hell up. Get my dress."

He, who is starting to feel uncomfortable, twitched as he adjusted the cloth that was hanging from his shoulders.

"Whatever."

He stepped away, annoyance and relief obvious in his face, but looking back at me, he smiled as sweet as the fragrance of apples on both our clothing.
