Chapter 8- Moment Over. Was That a Moment?

Omg the bastard left me.

"RUSE! SO GOD HELP ME I WILL KILL YOU WHEN I FIND YOU AN..." I got interrupted when I heard a strange noise in the back of me.

Holy cow. I'm gonna die.

I decided the hell with picking up any of the stuff and ran into the forest that Ruse traveled through to get to the cliff.

Pumping my arms as fast as I can and my labored breathing I didnt exactly sound like I was trying to be quite. More like bigfoot running away from hunters.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I screamed out as something grabbed my arm and pulled back.

Closing my eyes I decided to do what any girl would do. I smacked the bastard untill they let go. I almost kicked whoever it was between the legs until they spoke.

Oh thank god I'm still gonna kill him!

"Lina! Lina, calm down it's me. I'm sorry, it's me please" Ruse tried to calm me down.

Falling into his arms he sat down and pulled me onto his lap.

Still freaking out and hyperventilating I tried tp speak out.

"You... fucking.... asshole.... you.... were gone... for... hours" I tried to say between breathing.

"Im surprised you kiss your mother with that mouth" he recalled back.

Oh shut the hell up

He just smiled and pulled me closer.

Awkward.....

Looking at the sunset I saw Ruse's jaw.tense.

"We need to go... NOW!" he barked at me.

Moment over. Was that a moment?

Walking back, more of dragging me back, to the car we drove home.

He looked as if he wanted to beat the sun home.

"What the hell did you do that you had to leave and take your car?" I just quickly

didn't think and opened my big mouth.

"Call"

"CALL. A CALL THAT LEFT ME STRANDED ON A CLIFF?"

"Yes, I had to make a call and with bad reception I took the car down the mountain. If your impatience ass waited a few minutes I would have come back. You were gone and I panicked so I drove into the woods." He tried explaining. But was a 'Hey Lina im off to take a call just stay here' to much to ask for?

Finally pulling up to my driveway I saw.my mom's car gone.

Work go figure.

Walking me to my front door Ruse looked at me with wonder filled eyes.

Then..... Michael came out from next door.

"Oh sweet god" Ruse looked at me with worry.

"Hey what's going on?" I asked.

"A very pissed Michael is what's going on Lina" Ruse looked right at his uncle with determined hard eyes.

"Where is God's good name were you?" Michael looked directly at Ruse.

"We're okay. I have it under control" Ruse spoke back but hid his eyes from me.

"Say goodbye then come straight home. We dont need accidents Ruse. Hurry please" Michael said back while he walked next door.

What accidents?

Looking back at me Ruse still hid his eyes.

"I need to go. See you around Angel" Ruse said with a quick smirk and jogged to his front door slamming it on the way in.

This family is just weird. Maybe they're hiding something. If so I plan on finding out.
