SOOOOOOOOO SORRY!!!!!! i seriously didnt mean for it to take this long!!!!! But school's almost over so they're piling on stuff then my dad had an accident at work and had to go to the hospital. But anyways here's chapter 14 hope you enjoy!!!! :)

I stared aimlessly at the whiteboard as Mr. Thomas droned on about circles and angles.  I mean honestly who really uses math? Ok not true, plenty of people use math, but I’m not! At least I don’t think I am? My job wont require knowing math…if I only new what I was going to be. Ah heck I’ll just be a stripper, pays more anyways…I think. How much does a stripper get paid? Does she get paid per hour or per show? Does she get tips? Why am I even thinking about this!

Someone kicked my leg and my head snapped to the side. Ashley pointed at me then ever so discreetly pointed to the front. I followed her finger and looked at the board. At first I didn’t get it but then Mr. Thomas spoke.

“Tara could you please tell us what the answer is?” I stared at him confused for a second till I noticed the problem next to him.

“Err, 15?” I threw out a random number.

“Close, Ashley could you tell us?” he asked looking at Ashley. She shrunk back in her seat as everyone turned to her.

“Um 105.” She squeaked out.

“Correct! Please try and pay better attention Tara.” He turned back to the board along with the rest of the class. I shrugged when his back was turned. I didn’t really care, math is my least favorite subject.

“Psst!” I looked at Ashley. She nodded her head back to the board. Where once again Mr. Thomas was looking at me expectantly.

“What?” I blurted out.

“Could you possible tell us the answer to this question?” he asked.

“No” I said propping my head on my hand.

“And why not?”

“Because.”

“Because what?”

“I don’t wanna.”

“Miss. Tara that is hardly an excuse.”

“But it is an excuse none the less. And you never said it wasn’t!” I spoke cutting him off before he could speak again.

“You just said it was ‘hardly’ an excuse. Not that it wasn’t an excuse at all.” Mr. Thomas looked like one of those puffer fish. The ones that puff up and have the little quills!

“Well if that’s how you see it then. Maybe detention will give you a better insight on your opinion, hmm?”

“Nah I highly doubt it.” I retorted.

“What about a weeks work of detention?”

“Well, maybe……No.”

“Fine then two weeks detention I will see you after school Miss. Tara.” With that he turned back to the bored and began scribbling random math stuff on the board. I slumped back in my seat. George was most definitely not gonna be happy about that.

Kathy had finally persuaded him to let me drive the truck to school. Which was great because now I no longer showed up with the boys.

The boys

Just thinking about them made my heart sink. They all basically ignored me after I told George about Lucus’s behavior. I mean I new it shouldn’t hurt me and it was good because I needed to distance myself from them, but I didn’t want to. I actually missed Lucus’s over bearing ways. They made me feel special and wanted. Now when ever I saw him. He had either Natalie of Amy hanging off him. It made my blood boil and I had to turn and head in the opposite direction when ever I saw them. My only consolation was the fact that he had no interest in them. Any attempts they’ve made at trying to ‘hook up’ with him had apparently failed. How you might ask do I know this? Well my new friends in the drama club all know about my crush on Lucus. And yes I admit I have a little, itty, bitty, teeny, tiny crush on him. And Garrett is my personal spy. He’s on the football team along with all the brothers and you’d be surprised at the things boys talk about in the locker room.
