After school Charlie pulled me aside.
"What?"
"You wanna hang out? I can give you a tour of L.A." I pulled out my phone to let Jen know that I was going with Charlie.
"I have to be home by 12:00 at the latest." He shrugged his shoulders.
"Sounds good to me." We headed towards his car, which was parked a block away when Charlie pointed out a group of 4 drool worthy guys staring at us.
"Don't ever get envolved with them." I raised my eyebrow.
"Why not?" He let out a sigh.
"Because all they do is hump and dump." Being the immauture 5 year old I am I broke out in hysterics.
"Ahhahahhahaha hump and dump, thats a good one, a very good one. I'm going to have to remember that one, I think I might name my child Dump comma Hump. And you would have to say his name like that or else it wouldn't be proper." Charlie just gave me an amused look and continued on walking. "Who are they anyway? The hump and dumpers." I couldn't help myself. Charlie just shot me a very open smile.
"Thats going to be the new name for their group." He paused and I gave him a confused look. "We have been resorting to calling them the whores but now we have an offical name; the hump and dumpers." This time I contained my laugh and stuck with a smile. "As for who is part of the hump and dumpers, is Jessie, Sam, Josh, and Sean."
That night I went driving around with Charlie, he shouldn't be hanging out with the "Badasses" He is just a normal, fun teenage guy who got sent to jail and stuck in that crowd. He might be just the person I need, I am trying to drag myself out of the "Badass" crowd. I only know one thing for sure, this is going to be one slow, and long drag.
Charlie dropped me off around 10:00. His mom wanted him home. When I walked in the door I noticed that people where sitting down at the dinner tabe. 'Don't let them be from foster care. Please' I saw Jen get up, she was smiling which is a good thing. She pulled me in for a hug.
"Casey we have some of my good friends over for dinner, I believe that their son is in you grade." I just nodded my head and followed her into the dining room. Three people stood up. I waved to Jeff who just gave me a nod of his head. I turned to face the guests and I noticed that the son is one of the hump and dumpers! I restrained myself from laughing as best as I could. I shook hands with all of them and sat next to Jen.
