"Cold??" I blinked. Sitting in Guren's office. I was told to not move from this spot. Apparently I was looking pretty pale still. Guren told me it must of been the trial the demon put me through, to gain each other's trust.

"Uh....really...." I just wanted to be lazy, not sit in the office. My new sword was set next to me against Guren's desk. My demon's name was Lance apparently, and that was all I knew of him. Other than his knightly presence. I got the hints of him being somewhat a noble, or maybe that was just his cloths.

"I'm truly sorry about this."

"?! who's there?" I snapped up, at the words I heard. Scanning the room seeing I was the only one here. "T-the hell....did I go..mad?"

"No, I assure you. For I would know."

*CLICK!* I nearly fell off my chair. "Wwho is tt-that!?" 'Show yourself.........god'

The second I said that. A figure appeared in front of me. 'Hello there.'

"!" My eyes widened at the tall figure in front of me. It was the demon I met with. "L-Lance..??" I blinked in shock. Those sharp, but now softer looking crimson eyes hit me hard. "Yes, that is me. I am honored that you remember."

It was my demon, the demon I met in the jail cell. Lance.' He stood tall, with that longer silver hair of his, by the door. 'Oh...yeah.' I spoke in my mind. Taking a few steps forward he spoke. "I'm sorry, this is my fault."

"??" I blinked.

"Thank your so cold. I took it a bit far....." Anyone who stepped in wouldn't be able to see him, or hear. But I shouldn't be speaking out into the open yet. I felt it would be weird if I would be caught doing that. I was basically done will class, I was only in the army now. Guren would pop in at times to see how everyone was behaving. Even if he didn't show up often, but having him come see if we were well was enough for me. The people I had around me annoyed me, or were boring in class. So it was fun having Guren rattle them up.

'It's nothing, don't worry. I knew you had to. Otherwise....I..'

*Click!* Suddenly the door opened up, cutting me off. I looked up seeing Guren walk inside. "Hey, I'm back.* He stopped for a moment* You looked like you just a ghost."

I tried shaking me head a bit to disagree, but a light grin came to his face. While the Lance just stood there to the side. "Let me guess. Your demon is here in this room, and you were chatting to it?"

"No..!!"

"Ha.., it's not a bad thing. It can be helpful. What's it's name?" Guren walked over with a tray of food, and tea.

"...." I felt my eyes fall on Lance in the corner of the room. He only nods its agreement. "...L...Lance...." I whispered. " And it's a he."

"Well it's a start. Here I brought food, and tea. Don't you dare leave one crum! got that? And you there, Lance was it make sure she eats all of it. Don't want your master dying on you know."

"!! G-guren..." I gawked seeing Lance's eyes widen at him outburst. "Relax I'm teasing, but still you should eat. You still look like your on the edge of death." I nod, lifting up my tea cup with my cold hands, and began to sip it. As Guren plops down in his chair, putting his feet up on the desk, not giving a crap about it.

"💨Ha......glad that's over."

I sipped my tea. While ..Lance made his way over, and sat down in a empty chair justing listening. 'You know..., you don't have to stay. If you have other things to do...'

"No, I don't mind. I find this quite interesting. It's been a while since I could see this world. Don't mind me."

'Ooh, alright.' I said inside my mind.

"Man.........Yu was so pushy...." Guren sighed again, looking at his paper. I set the tea cup down, and grab a mini sandwich. "Mh...., what did her do?"

*Creak* Guren stopped, and looked over his papers. "..Said, I should better get you food, and tea. Or else he will mess up my office."

'FFPT! Haha.' I laughed inside my head. That was the funniest thing I heard. Yu actually got threatened him.

"!!!" A voice suddenly hit me. It sounded so...much like. I paused in mid bite. Little did I know Guren was looking at me. Reading a small set of files on me. "........"

"Say...._____.....I was meaning to ask." Guren gave a soft approach. Guren asked in English. For some reason.. I could speak Japanese.., but it seemed like this would be easier on me, at least that's what he thought. "Why...were you out in the middle of the snow in the city, that year....?"

I looked down a bit. I could tell his violet eyes were on me. ".....I...don't know....." I was trying the truth. I had no reason to lie because even if did, it still would be nearly impossible to find anything on me. I wasn't from here. Guren stopped shifting. "...I...just woke up on the field of snow up on a large hill." I said nothing of Mika, and the vampires. It matter to me if they knew, I wasn't from here or not. But if they didn't I wouldn't say a thing, unless asked.

"I see..., well don't...worry about it too much. This is your home now, and family." 'Then again, how many of us do you consider family? or even at all.' He thought to himself.

I finished my food. "Oh yeah. Tomorrow you will be joining Yu in his squad, There will be a few new faces as well for the mission. So look forward to it. If you are missing someone from your family. Then there is another chance you could see them."

My eyes widen, as I look ahead. How did this man know?! Surly he didn't know. Or...I was so lost. But he seemed nice about it.

"Alright." Was my reply. As I sat there, I could faintly hear music play, somewhere in the room.
