Zein went over to the door, knocking on it lightly. He hoped Akira was doing well, but he wasn't really sure. It really wasn't easy for him to be independent, and Zein still wasn't sure how he even managed to break his fence. He heard Akira stumbling around inside, probably just waking up. He couldn't really tell the difference in night and day anyway, so it wasn't really weird for him to be asleep at this time, even if it was almost 3p.m Now.
Akira opened the door, looking a bit frightened. Zein usually didn't visit, so he knew Akira wouldn't really know who was there. "Err...hi?" Akira mumbled, not really understanding the situation yet."Heyy!" Kuzo greeted, pushing past Akira and making him stumble back a bit.
"Eh? W-what?" He yelped, and Zein grabbed Kuzo's arm. This fucking idiot...
"Hey Akira," Zein said, and Akira's eyes shot over to him. He looked sort of dazed, and he was still confused.
"Err...We need to talk. You might be in trouble, so we came here first. I mean, if we had to run or anything you'd be in the most trouble.." Zein told him."What do you mean? What happened?" He questioned, stepping out of the doorway to let them inside.
"My Dad's a fucking idiot, that's what," Zein snapped, and he immediately regretted it. Akira was really shy, and he barely trusted Zein since he didn't really know who he was. Akira was blind, so he had no clue if Zein was a guard or an abnormal. He didn't even know what the whole concept of their society was about since he couldn't tell the difference between people based on their colors. Zein had told him he was an abnormal too, but he didn't know for sure. He knew he'd never know for sure, and that scared him more than anything.
"W-wait who else's here? I heard someone else," Akira asked, still feeling nervous. He didn't know anyone except for Zein since he was blind. He wasn't able to talk to his family without better technology, and that wasn't provided to abnormals, so he was isolated from everyone until he'd managed to break the fence. One day Zein had went around and checked people's fences to see if he could get in and talk to them (no he didn't touch it, Zein's not completely suicidal.), and that was how he met Akira. Akira never left his place even after breaking it since he would have no one to help him get around, not to mention that he wouldn't even see the guards if they were to come by, so Zein had been the only person that spoke to him.
"Oh him? That's Kuzo. If we have to run, I'll have to help you. I mean...I only know two more people other than Kuzo, so I doubt that you know either of them. Have you spoken to anyone else?" Zein asked him, hoping the answer was no. The guards all knew that Akira was blind, so they took this as an opportunity to use him since he wouldn't be able to identify them unless he ever heard them again. Akira told Zein about it after having a mental breakdown in the middle of one of his visits. Zein had come to Akira a lot in the past, but after his brother died he didn't really have time for people who couldn't come and meet with the rest of his friends. It was bad for Akira to be alone all the time since those guards might hurt him again, but Zein had no way of helping him when he didn't have any free time.
"W-w-I-erm..." He stuttered, his voice trailing off and his only answer was a few incoherent whispers.
"Let's get out of here. Now," Kuzo ran in, a stunned look on his face. "Come. On. We don't have any time, Zein!"
Zein was baffled, but he obliged and took Akira's hand. "Zein, no! We can't bring him! They're already nearby...I-I...He's gonna slow us down!" Kuzo yelled, running a hand through his hair.
"Well I'm not leaving him. Go without me if you want," Zein said, pulling Akira out the door. We've got to get out of here...Kuzo's a fucking idiot, especially to say it right in front of Akira. What the hell made him want to leave so quickly?
"Z-zein...Where're you....What's going on?" Akira squirmed, trying to get his wrist out of Zein's grip. He was scared, and he really didn't like what he'd heard. Kuzo didn't want him around, and something bad was going on, but Akira had no idea what it was.
"It's Alright, We're just gonna go get the others," Zein assured him, but then Kuzo piped up again.
"No! We have to go! Zein, I'm serious, we really can't!" Kuzo cried, still looking scared as hell. What the fuck is going on?
Akira let out a whimper, trying to pry Zein's hand from his wrist. When he didn't succeed, he let his other arm drop, deciding he'd just leave his trust in Zein. He didn't have any other option now. "Alright...I guess," Zein mumbled, hoping Kuzo knew what he was doing. Isumi, Nico, please be okay...
