Chapter 5

--Aiko's POV--
The forest seemed to go on forever. I had known Min-soo was most likely dead but I keep looking behind us. Hopefully he would be there but he never was. I just wanted someone to tell me this was a dream and nothing else. I knew better.
I ran with Hak and Yona into the forest. We had to stop often because of Yona. I had been sleeping in trees for the most part. Kuro saw next to me as we stopped again. I looked at Hak then to Yona.
I just left them as I found a tree. I couldn't climb anymore I leaned against the tree. I covered my face as I slide down so I was sitting. I started to cry. Kuro sat next to me. His eyes told me everything. I hugged my knees and squeezed them to my chest. I placed my head onto my knees. Crying into my chest. Kuro had laid down under my knees.
     I had fallen asleep... apparently. Hak had woken me up. He had gotten Bitte by a snake. I did the best I could with what I had. You know since I couldn't heal him. But hey he doesn't have to know that I could right?
    "Thanks" Hak said after I had finished.
   "How did you get Bitten?" I asked as I stood up. Hak looked over to Yona. I understood. "So where are we going? We can't run like this forever" Or at least they couldn't.
    "Home"  Hak said and I smiled. Kuro walked up to me. He most likely just woke up.
    "Hey, I'm going for a walk" I said as I walked away from Hak. Kuro followed me.
    I walked through the forest. The night air felt good. I guess I had claimed down about it for now. I don't have to cry and I know this is real life. I stopped in a clearing. Kuro started to run around me. I laughed as he jumped into the air and landed on his face. I looked up at the sky. It was so strange. As soon as I did my head hurt. I held my now pounding head. Then a voice cut into my head.
"You are the child with my blood. Aiko. Is it."
"Y-yes." I said
"Hmm you also are with the reincarnation of the one I'm supposed to protect."
"Wait what?" I asked the voice in my head laughed.
"Oh how rude of me. I'm Aries of the celestial court. Guardian angel of the red dragon god." The voice said. Aries has a kind voice that I could listen to all day. "I came down to tell you. Protect that girl with your life." Well shit. My head hurt again. This time worst then the other. How well I tell this to Hak. My vision was blurry before it went black.

I woke up to Hak poking me with a stick. I grabbed the stick and broke it with me hand.
"Come on let's go" Hak said standing up. I slowly got up. I would have to tell him right. Right.
"Fuck you" I said as I followed him. Kuro started to follow me.
Soon we made it to the wind tribe. I walked into the gates. Hak started to scold who ever was at the door. I walked away. I walked to my room. When I opened the door Kuro ran into the room and jumped onto my bed. I walked in and saw a stack of papers on my desk.
"How many jobs was I given." I said to no one as I picked up the stack. "Hmmm" the first paper on top was an easy job. It would take maybe...... three hours or so. The one under it caught my eye.
     I pulled out the two and placed the others on my desk. I read the second one. It was just asking for anyone. It was a protection job. I didn't like what I read next. It was from the lord in port awa. I had been there several times on jobs that I knew this was a cause for panic. The lord is known for human trafficking and drug smuggling. I hated it at port awa. The people are sad. And then there are the pirates. I would have to tell them about this. But I can take my time. They don't need me for a long while.
       The other job. It looked easy. I just had to take out some mountain bandits. And it is for good pay. I would be gone for like two or so days.
    "Kuro how about a job" I said to the fox on my bed. He looked up at me. I looked at him. "Okay you go stay with the princess then." I was okay if he didn't come with me. He jumped off my bed and walked over to the door. I opened it and he ran out of the room.
      I walked over to my desk. Next to the papers was a mask. (Mask is up top) It was simple but it covered my face. I grabbed my throwing knives. I stuck them into my cloak after I put it on. My cloak was sleeve less and black. I wrote a quick note then I left.

    --Hak's pov--
   Yona had passed out at the gate. And she is now Lena. I haven't seen Aiko but I have seen Kuro. He hasn't left Yona's side. I wonder where Aiko is. Maybe she is in her tree. I walked out to her tree. I looked up.
Nope. Not in her tree. Maybe she's in her room. I walked to her room. I knocked. No answer. I opened the door and walked in. I saw a paper on her desk. Next to that paper was a huge stack. They where jobs. I walked to her desk and picked up the paper next to the stack. It was a note.
To whoever reads this i took a job. It's an easy one so I'll be back in like two or so days. So don't worry. Oh and Kuro wanted to stay so I let him.

Oh. That's where she is. She said it was easy so she's fine right?
-with Aiko-
"Fuck, shit balls" I yelled as arrows flew at me. I dodged most but one hit my arm. How did they see me coming. And how did they make traps. I mean TRAPS. You know like arrows flying out of a wall if you trip over the wire. The arrow stuck out of my arm.
"Well shit" I said as I ripped it out of my arm. The wound started to heal. I looked to the arrow. "Full wooden arrows?" I said as I looked at the tip. It wasn't medal. It was wood. Make-shift arrows. I had to do this once. But if their wooden then they have a weakness. Fire. I walked out of my hiding place. I held my hand in front of me. I walked forward as a wall of fire surrounded me. I had tripped another wire. More arrows. None reached me. I walked down the hallway. Good thing the bandits are gone. I saw stairs. I put my hand down and my wall of fire went out. I ran to the stairs. No one was in here. And because it was their hideout I well hideout here. The second floor was simple.
It had no windows and was lit with torches. In the middle was a huge table. And if you looked up there where rafters. And a sky light. I jumped into the rafters. I stayed clear of the sky light. Sometime while I was waiting it started to rain. I played with one of my knives.
I heard the door creak open. I got ready to kill. Three men walked in. They ran this thing. I was after them.
"So what do we do next." One of them said.
"Be calm, no one can get past our traps" the other said. The last one sat on the table.
"He's right. I set them and no one can get past them" the last man said. I had an idea. I heard thunder. Oh this is going to be fun. I jumped onto the table as thunder rang. I looked at them. My mask on and hood up. I grabbed three knives before they could attack. I threw my knives at each of them. I hit two of them. The one setting on the table dodged. I looked at him. I tilted my head and pulled out a needle. I threw the needle. I watched as the needle went into his neck and as it hit the wall. The man fell to his knees and I jumped from the table. I grabbed my knives out of the two men then grabbed my needle from the wall.
I looked back at my kills. I jumped into the rafters and broke the sky light. I jumped out of the sky light. The rain felt good as I ran down the mountain to the village.

-back with Hak-
Kuro has yet to leave Yona unless he had to go or she asked him to. And Aiko has yet to return. I was outside looking up at the night sky when I heard footsteps. I turned around to see Aiko. She had her assassin things on. Her fox mask and cloak. She looked at me and walked over to me. She pulled down her hood and moved the mask to the side of her head. She looked up at sky.
    "So what name is she going by." Aiko asked me. I looked at the stars too.
    "Lena" I said. She nodded and turned around.
"Hey. I have to tell you a Mundok something in the morning." She said over her shoulder.
"What is it" I asked her. She stopped and looked over her shoulder.
"I'm leaving." I looked at her. I was leaving to.
    "Why?" I asked.
    "I have to bring important information to a friend" Aiko said as she walked away.
    "Wait! I'm leaving to, can I join you" I said. She smiled at me.
    "Fine" She said as she walked away.

----morning time. After Aiko talked with Mundok.----

--Aiko's Pov--
    I walked to the gate. Hak was already there. He looked at me. Kuro rapped his tail around my Leg.
     "So where to." Hak asked. I looked at him.
     "Awa" I said. We both turned around when Yona yelled his name.
    "Hak I want to leave. These people have suffered because of me." Yona said. I looked at her. I didn't want her to come. Maybe I should go. I tuned out. I looked out at the forest. I turned around and Mundok was pointing an arrow at Hak.
    "Oh. Hey gramps" I said. Mundok turned around to look at me. "What did Hak do"
    "He was rude to the princess" Mundok said. I looked over to Hak. I tilted my head. Hak looked at Yona. I knew it. Fucking called it.
     "Well three is two big of a group. I'll ta-" Mundok pulled me back.
     "No you have to help Yona." Mundok said as he made me stand next to her. I flipped of Mundok when he was telling Yona and Hak about a priest. Will looks like I can't do what I have to do. Fine. I hope I at least have some fun.

A/N
So I hope you liked it. I have a question. How would you all like it if I drew Aiko in her assassin gear. I have nothing else to do lately so I have time to do so. So should I or no.
