Chapter Twenty Eight
Lexie's P.O.V.
I sat in the booth doing some things on the computer for Noah. He was stressing out since his race was tonight so I offered to do the little things for him so he could relax. When I left this morning Justin was still passed out so I headed out planting a kiss on his cheek. After our conversation last night it made me realize he was going to do everything he could to keep us together.
It still scared me out of my mind that I was falling for him and fast. The last time this happened I walked into the hallway seeing my boyfriend kissing another girl. I sighed knowing it was just a dumb move on my part, I was a teenage girl that thought she had to have a boyfriend.
Now I was much older and was finding out what I wanted in life. I wanted a guy to spend the rest of my life with, didn't expect to think of marriage so soon but with Justin it seemed possible. He was after the same thing I was, unconditional love for the eternity of our lives. We both knew it wasn't going to be easy and we both knew obstacles would be in our way but we knew we were supposed to do this together.
I smiled staring at the computer screen just at the thought of the very hot guy I now called my boyfriend. My phone was playing on the speakers we had set up earlier so I was being entertained listening to it. It was still pretty early for anyone to be out, I was just doing some things before the races began and the models showed up.
"Hi love" Justin smiled as he lightly brushed my lips with his.
"Good morning babe" smiling back I watched as he took a seat by the side of the booth with Kara trailing right behind him. "Whatcha doing?"
"Thought I'd come to see you"
I chuckled turning my attention back on the computer screen as he pulled out his phone. He was on his phone an awful lot, I noticed that. I had a feeling it was to do with his career. Earlier he told me he had a fight this month and that was one of the reasons he was here for the summer.
Honestly I wanted to see him fight, from the sounds of it he was good. It was probably weird a girl wanting to see a fight but I was going to support Justin. I wonder if his other girlfriends went to watch him, if they wanted him to live out his dream. He looked so focused tapping away on his phone.
I also was curious how things even worked in the fighting world. How did he get picked for fights? Who was managing all this for him? I knew absolutely nothing about his career or how things worked. Maybe I'd ask him about it one of these times.
"Honey, when's your fight?" I asked over the noise of the music.
His gaze whipped up to mine, "Next Saturday"
I smiled, "Get me some tickets"
"Love, I couldn't ask you to come to that. It's not the best place for women, well delicate women. I don't want you to be there, I know you'll support me-"
"Justin, I'm going. I don't care if it's not for girls. Garrett will probably want to go so he'll be with me, quit worrying"
He sighed knowing this was one argument he was going to lose. "Okay fine but I'm putting security on you"
I chuckled focusing back on my work. He was so protective over me, but thankfully not dad and Bradley protective. Like last night he stayed up just to make sure I was alright. Dad was dead asleep when I got in the rv. At least someone cared enough.
Kara leaned over putting her hand on my shoulder as she turned her head to whisper to me. "You two doing okay?"
"Yeah why?"
