(C/n) pov

I walked down the side walk, giddy but nervouse as all hell. I just graduated from kings college, the whole time through school all I did was amaze and astonish.

I never really knew my dad but my mom tells me I got the same virtuosity and brains as him and Mr.Maddison says that's not where the resemblance stops. (:o)

I just turned 19 but my mind is older, my mom cared for me for all these years but now I have to be my own (
man/woman), like my uncle Alexander, but bolder.

When i was little I always remember my mom and dad would say that someday I would blow them all away.

I reached the town square. Lots of people walked and others were buying goods.

I noticed 2 beautiful young ladies, one has long blond hair that was in braids and the other had short brown hair with a pink bow. I aproched then, one girl started to blush. I smiled "Ladies, I'm lookin for a Mr. George Eacker he made a speech last week, he was our Fourth of July speaker and he disparaged my uncle's legacy in front of a crowd I can't have that, I'm making my uncle proud" the blond girl put her hands on her hips and smiled. Her lifted her hand in pointed to Broadway.

"I saw him just up Broadway a couple of blocks, he was goin' to see a play.." I bowed slightly "Thanks, well, I'll go visit his box." I walked away but the brunette yelled out to me "god, you're a fox!" I turned and let out a laugh "And y'all look pretty good in ya' frocks, How 'bout when I get back, we all strip down to our socks?" They both lost there shit "ooh, okay!" The blond one yelled. I laughed again and continued walking.

I made my made my way down town. My fist clenched and I was ready to beat some ass. I walked into the Broadway theater, and up a flight of steps, he was sitting in the balcony. "George!" I called out. I was hushed. "George!" I said again there was a loud sigh then he turned around "shh, I'm tryin' to watch the show!" He said angrily. I pushed him in his seat slightly "You should have watched your mouth before you talked about my uncle though!" He sneered and glanced back at me "I didn't say anything that wasn't true Your uncle's a scoundrel, and so, it seems, are you." I cocked my head back "It's like that?" He kept looking at me from the side. "Yeah, I don't fool around, I'm not your little schoolboy friends" I clenched my fist tighter "Well, see you on the dueling ground That is, unless you wanna step outside and go now." He shook his head and waved me off, facing fully forward now "I know where to find you, piss off, I'm watchin' this show now."

I ran back down town, more scared than nervouse. "Uncle!" Yelled running past philip in the front yard and straight into Alexander's house. Alexander was sitting at the kitchen table looking over some paperwork. I ran up to him "Uncle, if you had only heard the shit he said about you
I doubt you would have let it slide and I was not about to" he stood up and calmly pushed me into his office, away from eliza who was washing some dishes "slow down.." He shut the door behind him "I had an argument with George Eaker and well I came to ask you for advice, this is my very first duel They don't exactly cover this subject in boarding school" Alexander sat down in his office chair and I sat on a stool. "Did your friends attempt to negotiate a peace?" He asked leaning forwards. I shook my head "He refused to apologize, we had to let the peace talks cease." Alexander stood up "Where is this happening?" He asked walking out of his office. I got up and followed him. "Across the river, in Jersey." Alexander opened the door to his room "Everything is legal in New Jersey!" We said in unison. Alexander shut the room door and grabbed out a box from under his bed. "Alright, so this is what you're gonna do" Alexander opened the box and pulled out a pistol. "Stand there like a man until Eacker is in front of you
When the time comes, fire your weapon in the air. This will put an end to the whole affair." I rubbed my other arm, and looked at the floor. "But what if he decides to shoot? Then I'm a goner.." Alexander shook his head and handed me the gun "No, he'll follow suit if he's truly a man of honor, To take someone's life, that is something you can't shake, (c/n), your mother can't take another heartbreak." I took the gun "uncle!" He grabbed my hand "Promise me, You don't want this young man's blood on your conscience." I nodded and grabbed the gun holster and connected it to my belt "Okay, I promise." I put the gun in the holster.

Alexander walked me outside, Philip was was still playing in the yard. He ran up and hugged me "come play! Come play!" He shouted. I shook my head "I'll come over to play tomorrow pip." He nodded and ran off to play with Angelica. Alexander took my hand again. "Go straight home when you're done, be smart, make me proud, son." I nodded and left.

William and I rowed to weehawken, he was my second. Our family doctor came along to. I stared down at the gun. Alexander Hamilton wad written in gold letters. I breathed out "Are you nervous..?" William asked. I nodded "just a little bit" he smiled "don't worry, after this we can go grab some drinks" I shook my head "I have to meet with a few girls for a..." I winked at him. He blushed "oh my god!" We both starred laughing.

We arrived at weehawken. George was already there but he was farther away than I thought. We docked the boat and hopped out. I took a calling breath as we started walking "My name is (c/n)
I am a poet And I'm a little nervous, but I can't show it, I'm sorry, I'm a Hamilton with pride You talk about my family, I cannot let it slide" I whispered to myself for a bit of confidence.

We finally aproched George "Mister Eacker, how was the rest of your show?" I asked smiling. He rolled his eyes "I'd rather skip the pleasantries, let's go
Grab your pistol" i cut in "confer with your men" we got into our places and said together "The duel will commence after we count to ten" I breathed out to myslef "Look him in the eye, aim no higher Summon all the courage you require
Then slowly and clearly aim your gun towards the sky"
