Today, I forgot my textbooks on the desk at home.

Always forgetting something.

Our Maths teacher

mocks me with a skinny, mock-stern
finger.

One of her eyes

is permanently looking

down at her nose

from an accident on the shore. It resembles a marble.

She tried to follow the boat of an old lover.

When she fell, rocks to a glass house, her right eye was shattered.

When I was thirteen,

I caught her with a coach

on top of her desk. Her fingers trailed behind him

and entered there.

Never spotted,

but I've always remembered the act between rabbits.

Hurry to class.

Today, while licking his thumb and flipping through papers,

he tells me happy birthday.

Dinner tonight wouldn't be the best, but how about coffee?

While the cups are still too hot to touch,

he cups his hands around my ears. A habit that I hate.

His kiss is too rough.
