Poor Magnus...I'm glad he finally revealed a bit of his past to Alec and Alec deserves the Best Boyfriend Award  for hearing his boyfriend's tragic past.

What I wanted for this chapter is to combine both Malec scenes and place them by time of day according to the episode but add my own twist.

Magnus' loft  7:00 am

The light shone through the blinds revealing a body entangled in red Egyptian sheets. The soft ivory skin, the dark runes etched onto his strong physique. His hair the color of midnight looked a bit disheveled from the night before, his hazel eyes slowly fluttered open as he turned slowly.

His hand reaching out to touch the body that was beside him but found cold empty sheets.

Alec sat up gently, the bed sheet lowered exposing the lower half of his body despite feeling a bit naked underneath.

He looked around the room to find the man he spent the last four nights with, but he was nowhere to be found.

He gently called out his name "Magnus?"

--

He quickly found his clothing from the night before. A pair of dark pants and a maroon shirt he was putting on while walking barefoot into the living room and here he was.

"There you are", Alec said gently

Magnus turned his body around to see his Alexander coming out of the bedroom while hiding away his gorgeous figure underneath the soft maroon shirt. "Good morning"

"I wish I could say the same. It looks like you haven't slept"

"Should I be insulted by that?" Magnus asked with a bit of humor to his voice pretending to be hurt.

Alec shook his head gently with a soft smile upon his face.

"No I love that face. This is, like, the fourth morning in a row that I've woken up to an empty bed," Alec tells him, eyes full of concern, and his voice light and careful as he looks at Magnus more closely.

"Is something bothering you?"

Magnus steps closer to him and dials up the smile he put on his face. He knows he's slipping— knows Alec is bound to notice the way he can't keep the cracks from showing when they spend as much time together as they do—but if he can just keep it together a few more days, then maybe the worst will pass, and Alec never has to see just how deep and ugly the darker parts of him go.

"Nothing's bothering me," he replies, moving a little closer still, congratulating himself on his choice of wardrobe when Alec's eyes momentarily drop down to his chest.

"I've even gotten used to your adorable little snores."
