My day dragged. The summers day heat was unbearable, roasting me slowly, my brain felt too heavy to concentrate, all I wanted to do is day dream about my extravagant night, a page teared right out of a storybook. I wanted to float away in my mind with just me and Antonio, it's like we just blend perfectly together. Like strawberries and cream! Like rum and raisins! Like Jack and the lady from titanic!

I signed deeply stuffing my head into my textbook. I still had to tell Asia I met somebody, I wasn't looking forward to telling her his age, but I knew once she sees how happy I am she will love him. Hell, eventually I'd have to tell my dad as well.

After a good couple of years when I grow a spine.

Ok my dad isn't really scary, but his a stern man. After my mum passed he only had me. His 2 year old little Kim to take care of. His very overprotective but that's understandable, I'l always respect his wishes even though I complain and argue, and throw a fit, and give him silent treatment and. . .You get the point.

I missed my dad, he left so suddenly for urgent work, I never even got to say goodbye. I knew he'd come back bringing gifts for me, but mostly even if he didn't I'd be happy having him back home most of all. The house is so empty without him it's like it's just a house, not a home.

I decided telling Asia today was best, I really didn't want to hide anything from her. It just felt unnatural, she's like a sister to me sometimes we literally think and say the same things it's quite freaky actually but eventually people get used to it, so hiding things from her, is basically impossible.

I lazily lifted my arm and nudged her, she didn't even move or recognise me. I could just tell she was out cold on the desk.

I slumped against her, using her shoulder as a pillow as i zoned in and out of the most boring management lecture. Even the lecturer seemed to be zoned out, she literally just read whatever was on the slides as if in 12 years of schooling we didn't learn how to read.

The piercing bell went of signalling the end of the period, which was also my last period (Thank God) and lunch break.

The lecture hall began emptying quickly, as eager students rushed out the class like their lives depended on it, but Asia was still sound asleep, she didn't even hear the bell.

"Buddy." I nudged her again harder.

"Mmmm." She signed in her sleep.

"It's lunch time. Wake up!" I exclaimed loudly shaking her like a rabid dog with a bone.

"I'm alive!." Her reddish eyes shot open and widened in fright clearly startled.

"Come on, let's go bud." I chuckled at her deer in the headlights look as she looked around the empty class. I hooked my arm with hers and dragged her off to the food court, if there's anything that's going to keep her happy while breaking the news. It's a slice of cheesy hot pizza.

We ordered a extra large triple cheese sweet and sour Chicken pizza. It might seem like a lot, it's stated to feed a crowd of six.

Haha. Once Asia's boyfriend lost his phone and called the number listed 'My Love' and Dominos Pizza answered. Pretty much ruined that date.

We love each other very much but when it boils down to those cheesy goodness slices we willing to claw till the death. In order to solve our dilemma instead of taking individual slices we take divide the pizza in half so nobody cheats and nobody leaves with broken bones.

We sat happily gobbling down our pizza like we never saw food before, only after the pizza was completely devoured and we simply couldn't move, then only we started chatting about our day. I quite hesitantly broke the news to her about me seeing the man I met that day.

"His 18 years older then you." She looked at me incredulously, hoping to see that I'm lying.

"I really like this guy and you know I wouldn't of even said anything if he wasn't my full package." I said sincerely wishing she would see past the age and look at his character, his literally the closest thing to perfection.

"He is much older, I mean surely there will be points where both of you would want different things. I mean he would want kids soon. . .while he can still have them." She scoffed raising her brow.

"We are only casually dating for now. . . And stop being mean." I giggled at her bluntness and threw her with a napkin that was piled on the table.

"You betch! I'm never mean! Also hey let your man add you in his life insurance policy." She exclaimed with a passion, you know sometimes it's like she lies to herself so much it's unbelievable.

"You just called me bitch and then said you not mean." I laughed out loud swatting her with another napkin. I always secretly enjoyed irritating her she reminded me of a angry duckling or something cute.

"Oh you wana see mean? Oh ok!." She growled dunking the whole basket of napkins on me and giggling like a lunatic.

Rrrrrriiiinnnnnngggggg.

"I have to get to class!." She said quickly trying to out distance between my seething self and her. She blew me a kiss and made a run for it before I got up ready to attack her.

Hmmm saved by the bell. Won't be so lucky next time girlfriend.

I gathered up my things stuffing my poor handbag to the brim and walking out the student center to the wide parking lot. Actually I did have my own car but it's at the mechanic.

Let's just say the parts got reshuffled by me and a parking meter. Ah, when you really hate paying for parking, run over the meter.

Ok I'm joking, it was a bit of an accident. Anyway, I'd have to catch a bus home so I walked over to the stop, cheerfully greeting some of my classmates on the way. The sun was shining brightly, birds singing, not a cloud in sight. Such a beautiful day.

"Kim!" A familiar voice called my name in a car across from me. I looked over to see a very dashing Nathan, winking at me, gesturing me over. I walked over to him blushing a bit. He was dressed simply, a plain white T shirt and dark jeans with converse, but it was how sexy he looked that made me blush. His muscular body looked drool worthy, that T shirt fit snugly against his wide chest only the short sleeves struggled from his bulging biceps.

"Good morning handsome!" I said pecking his cheek fondly. I honestly had felt a connection between him, he was a really good guy. I was known for having a poor judge of character but he has such respect for a lady in the time I have known him, I couldn't help but love his personality.

He engulfed me in a bear hug twirling me around chuckling as I squealed in his shoulder.

"Morning Kim! You looking great today, I been looking around for you, you know where to be seen."

"Sorry man, I've been busy lately. . ." I said apologetically giving him a sweet smile.

"Where you going now honey." He smiled softly accepting my apology taking my hand in his.

"Well, home, but my car is at the shop I need to take a bus."

"No, I'l drop you. My house is on the way and it's not safe by the bus stop." His dimples disappeared and his face turned into a frown.

"If it's ok with you, that would be nice." I said gratefully accepting his offer, I squeezed his hand slightly.

We got into his sleek black BMW, he revved the engine waving to his friends that passed.

Boys and their toys.

I bit the inside of my cheek to stop my smile. His boyish personality and happy go lucky attitude suited him so well.

"I finally get to have you to myself." He winked turning his eyes from the long very quiet road.

"You keep teasing!" I swatted him arm playfully

"I'm not! I mean surely you can see . . .I like you." He rubbed the back of his neck shyly.

"Nathan. . ." Antonio's handsome face flashed in my mind, I really cared about him, I decided then it would be wrong to lead Nathan on. I feel like there's real potential with him.

"A gentleman should always offer his hand for a lady." Antonio's large warm hand wrapped around mine as we walked down the steps, his heated amber fiery gaze never leaving my face, I could feel it on me. He gently brought my hand up to his ever so slightly pink lips and brushed a feather light kiss at the back of it.

I dared to look up at him, my hand aching to touch him. His whole body was loose, he looked perfectly at ease, all I wanted to do is run my palm softly on his strong jaw.

My lips ached to kiss him, his own lips slightly parted, my lips begged me silently to place it on his.

"Lucky guy, what's he like." Nathan signed looking at my reaction, he could see my mind wasn't here.

I admittedly told him the truth, I feel like I just needed to talk, to stop the secrecy. Hiding was killing me. Hiding from Asia, from my dad, keeping it from everybody.

"Are you serious?!" he asked incredulously flinching away from me after I told him the truth.

"What do you mean am I serious. . .of course I am." I looked at him hurt, I lowered from his shoulder, what I had feared was being brought up to the surface

"Kim, his 20 years older then you, how can you even see a future in that." His words cut deep like a knife, I was tired of being judged, I was tired of hiding.

"Look I'm happy right now. . . I have every intention to pursue this. Please I don't know you as a judgemental person please don't become one." I said softly as we pulled up to my house. I never gave him time to respond. I felt so hurt, I didn't want him to bear witness to my angry tears.

"Kim! Wait you don't know-" his shouting got cut off as I slammed the front door closed.
