Powercut

Louis' point of view

I was the first to wake up the next morning and after I gently untangled myself from Harry I headed into the kitchen area to make a coffee. Although I didn't get very far as the power still seemed to be out.

'Stupid power.' I muttered to myself before sitting back down I couldn't even shower as the hot water wouldn't work. Just as I sat down Harry started to stir so I picked him up and placed him on my lap.

'Morning baby.'

'Hmm Papa I'm hungry.'

'About that, the powers still out so we can't open the fridge baby.'

'Why.'

'Because the fridge doesn't work without the power on so if we open the door then all the heat will enter and ruin the food.'

'Oh but what am I meant to eat?'

'I'm not sure baby we're ask daddy when he wakes up.'

'Okay.'

'Hey cheer up at least the storms over.'

'I don't want their to ever be another storm.'

'Me neither cause I'm scared of them as well.'

'Really?'

'Hmm they scare me but I had to brave for you last night and protect you.'

Harry nodded and snuggled into my side and we sat their quietly for about 10 minutes.

'I'm bored Papa.'

'Why don't you go and get some toys from the playroom and bring them down here?'

He nodded and set of for the playroom coming back down 5 minutes later with his toy garage and bucket of cars.

'Can you play with me Papa?'

'I certainly can.' I said and got down on the floor and started to play with him.

I must have been playing with Harry for a good 30 minutes before I heard Liam stir. When I turned around I saw him watching me smiling.

'Finally awake I see.'

'Hmm what time is it?'

'Just gone 9. Oh and the power is still out so breakfast is a bit delayed.'

'Ugh that means no coffee and I really need coffee after last night.' He whined like the big kid he was.

'I'm afraid so but at least it's light out so we can see.'

'That's true and the storms over talking of which I want to talk to you.'

'Course come on lets go into the kitchen.'

Liam untangled himself from a still sleeping Niall and I got up from my position on the floor.

'I'll be back in a minute Harry me and daddy are just going into the kitchen area.' Harry nodded and carried on playing with his cars.
