"Are you nervous?" Natsu whispered in her ear, a smile on his lips.

"I-I mean.." Lucy murmured, laughed awkwardly. "Who wouldn't be? It's my first date Natsu. Of course I'm nervous as hell."

"Don't be!" He whined. He's cute when he's not being an ass. Lucy noted. "We're going out for dinner. Small talk. You're a natural. We've only been living together for a couple months or so. Should come natural."

Lucy nodded, laughing a bit softer and a little less awkward. She followed Natsu to the nearby restaurant. "This is my favourite!" Lucy gasped. "Blue Pegasus. How'd you know?"

"Um, actually I didn't." Natsu said, chucking. "I just looked up top ten fancy restaurants for a reasonable price and this was the number one pick. And the comments agreed so." Natsu shrugged, while Lucy laughed at his bluntness on how he had chosen a restaurant for this date.

"Oh okay. Top ten list or not It's still lovely," Lucy kissed his cheek, making a blush appear on his already rosy. "Let's get our seats, yeah?"

"Y-yeah."

They finally were seated, after a couple of mixed up reservations - not to mention the couple who pretended to be the two to get seated first - the two finally got their well deserved seats. "Wow," Lucy rolled her eyes. "Who knew getting seated was so much work? And here I thought the bill was the hardest part of the meal." Natsu snorted I'm reply, looking at the menu intently.

"I've never been here." Natsu informed. "So, what do you usually get, Lucy?"

"Um, the steaks are nice, but I usually get the salads here." Lucy stated. Natsu frowned. He didn't want "healthy" foods. He had enough of that at his house. He wanted to try something nice. Not leaves with sauce on top.

"Burgers?" Natsu inquired, a quirk of his eyebrows. "Ooh.."

Lucy laughed at Natsus expression as he skimmed the burger section, licking his lips at every picture and description. "So hard to choose," he groaned. "They all look so good."

"Yeah I know my mom dad -" Lucy's breath hitched, a bite of her lips, looking down. Natsu looked at her with concern.

"Lucy?"

"Nothing. It's nothing. I'm okay. Totally fine," she snapped, making Natsu nod and look down at his menu once more, groaning at all the nice looking choices. And, honestly, she wasn't okay. She remembered when she was only a little girl, laughing and smiling with her parents every time they brought her here. Her mother would always get a salad, mentioning the importance of health whilst her father, before all that's happened would always order a steak and say "if it's good than it's low in calories" just to tick her mother off. It was good times, before everything.

"Hello! I'm your server and my name is –"

"Lisanna?"
