I Need You

I couldn't believe we fell asleep at the lot luckily Johnny woke us up.

We decided after the movies to come and hangout at the lot where I guess we fell asleep.

I got up off my stump and kind of started to stretch my arms.

Pony looked over at me and said, "Darry's gonna kill us."

I nodded my head and agreed with him.

I was still upset over Dally's behavior and how he practically ignored me.

I honestly didn't feel like my happy go lucky Sabrina self.

Pony and I literally ran to our house without a jacket or anything.

I was freezing my butt off.

When we reached the front door, Pony muttered to himself, "He's awake."

I peeped through the shutters of the window to see Darry just hung up the phone and was holding a newspaper.

When Pony and I walked through the front door, Darry blew up on us.

He yelled, "Where the hell have you two been? Do you know what time it is?"

We both put on our guilty faces as Darry continued.

"It's two o'clock in the morning you guys."

A sleep Soda on the couch looked over at us and asked, "Hey guys where ya been?"

Pony answered, "We fell asleep at the lot."

Darry's face only got redder and he asked, "You what?!"

Pony repeated his answer, We fell asleep at the lot, we didn't mean to."

Darry yelled again, "I didn't mean to, I forgot, that's all I ever here from you!"

I remember this!

In my before life, Darry got mad at Pony and he hit him which led to the fire!

I finally opened my eyes realizing what was about to happen.

Soda joined in, "Aw C'mon Darry-"

But he was cut off by Darry who said back to him, "You shut it, I'm sick and tired of him sticking up for him you hear?!"

Pony then said to Darry, "Don't you yell at him!"

I did the most stupidest thing I've ever done to save Johnny and Dally's life.

I took the hit.

I ran stepping in between of Pony and Darry and Darry hit me.

He basically through me to the ground.

Did I want to cry? Oh you better believe it! Did it hurt? More then you can imagine.

Has your parents ever swapped you with a stick outside on a tree?

Well this felt like one of those little twigs that make a mark on you.

Darry's eyes turned from mad to compassionate in an instant.

Soda couldn't believe his eyes, and Pony just felt plain guilty.

After tonight and how I've been treated I just couldn't help but want to cry.

I raised up from the fall and looked at all three of them staring at me.

Soda soon rushed by my side and said, "Darry, how could you?!"

He was checking my cheek multiple times to find it slightly bruised.

One tear hit my cheek and then another and then another, until I was hitting multiple sobs.
