Appreciation was something hard to get around the mind lately. All Logan, Roman, and Virgil have been slightly disrespectful for the most part for quite a while now.
I cooked dinner for them for the past few days. Though, they never say thank you or smile at me for doing anything for them.
To try to win back their happiness and thank yous, I have been working harder than ever.
I read dictionary after dictionary on end for days to talk more with Logan. I learned to sword fight for Roman. I even downloaded every song Virgil likes to hang out with him.
Nothing I did seemed to work.
Well, it was marathon night for Black Cauldron. I decided to see if this will help anything.
I was going to set everything up for the boys.
~le time skip to a few hours later~
Everything was done. Popcorn was made, snacks were set out, and I even brought out everyone’s blankets and pillows to be comfortable.
I set up the TV and waited patiently for the three of them. Ive watched this show a lot to really help with any conversation between everyone of us.
I waited and waited. Nobody came after an hour and I went upstairs to check out the problem.
I knocked on Logan’s door and he opened it, wearing his onesie.
“Oh, I see you're ready for the marathon tonight?” I asked. His eyes widened.
“O-oh, I mustve lost track of time. “He chuckled slightly.
“Oh, good, well, I'm waiting downstairs for everyone so I guess we all lost track “I smiled and he shut his door quickly.
“Oh…o-okay… “I looked down at the floor and went to Roman’s room. I knocked.
“Y-you didn't come down yet for the marathon, so I was wondering what you have been doing. “I barely have a smile, but I know the was busy.
“I-i um…was trying to think of more ideas and I guess I-i must’ve just forgot for a bit from…you know…work “He gave a nervous chuckle as well. Like logan, he shut the door quickly.
A couple tears brimmed my eyes, but I wiped them away. Nobody meant to forget. I know that for sure.
I knocked on Virgil’s door. He was in his pajamas too.
“I s-see you're ready f-for the marath-thon. “I looked hopefully at him. He looked confused.
“Oh, I didn't know. Sorry. What show is it? “The tears started brimming again.
“Its uhm…B-black Cauldron… “I looked down a bit.
“Oh, Ive watched it so many times. I guess I could come down soon. No promise really” I looked a him frowning. “Sorry Patton. I hope you aren't upset”
‘I-im n-not… “I smiled slightly and he shut his door. A few tears slipped down my face. I wiped them away. This wasn't me. I knew they’d be down there when…
I was...
Too...
I went downstairs to see nobody. I just thought they were finishing up work, so I waited.
And waited…
And waited…
I looked at the time. It was 4:36 a.m..
