12. Mark Thomas

Joey- hey come over, charles and mark are here and we're gonna go to the beach.

Kayla- okay.

I get off my bed not really wanting to do anything today.

I grab my two piece swimsuit, the top was a teal push-up then the bottoms were white. I put a big tshirt on and slide on my black flip flops.

I smile as I heard the three boys scream from outside and yelling.

This shall be interesting.

I leave a note for my mom telling her where I am and who I was with. I walk towards the door feeling my heart beat rapidly as I was about to meet Mark Thomas.

I open the front door and hear them go silent as I walked out. I made sure the door was locked and look up seeing them all stare at me.

I awkwardly walk over making Mark blush a lot.

"You guys know each over already, Y'all good" I smile and shake my head.

"Can I have a hug?" I nod with a smile and hug Mark making him blush. Joey looked pissed and looked away.

We all walked in a group to the beach sense it wasn't so far.

"Bet it's gonna be busy" Charles added, I shrug and looked around.

Never really mattered to me if the beach was busy or not, I love it either way.

"Yup" the beach was pretty busy but there were a bunch of open spots, not like the place was super packed.

We found a spot in between two family's. We all set our things down.

"Can we get ice cream first?" Mark whines. I started laughing and look at Joey and Charles.

"I thought you'd never asked" We all walked away from our stuff and walked towards a nice little ice cream shop in the middle of the beach.

As we waited in line I look to my side and see Chris and the girl he was with at the mall talking and smiling.

My heart sunk making my mood go down. Joey and Charles were having a little conversation about tour making it a little worse because I won't see them for a while.

"Hey, you good?" I shrug and keep staring at Chris and the girl. Another guy walked over to Chris and the girl, hugging her with a huge smile.

I didn't even like Chris and for some reason seeing him with another girl kills me. Chris started looking around and his eyes finally landed on mine. He held a finger up to the girl and ran over.

"Joey help" Joey heard and turned around noticing what was going on. Joey stiffens up and before Chris came over Joey grabbed my waist protectively.

Chris looked beyond pissed at this point as he was by us.

"The girl is my fucking cousins girlfriend and if you had let me talk yesterday, I was holding hands with her for literally ten seconds because she was freaking out. I really did like you. But i'm assuming you're just going around with guys though" my heart shattered as he slowly walked away.

I looked at the girl he was with and see her with Chris's cousin hugging.

"Talk to her like that again, I'm gonna beat your ass" Joey shouts, getting some people's attention.

"Then do it! She's gonna fuck you over then probably move on to someone else" Chris said, taking steps over to us, glaring me down.

Joey grabbed Chris's wrist pulling him towards him punching Chris right in the face.

"Joey!!" Mark and I shout. Mark grabs onto Joeys shoulders trying to pull him back.

This is gonna hurt.

Before Chris was able to punch Joey right back, I went in front of Joey and took the punch right in the nose, flying me to the ground smacking my head into the sand.

People around us gasped, asked if I was okay or told Chris to move away from me.

"Kayla I'm so sorry!" I felt my nose bleed, pretty badly.

"Get away from her now!" Charles shouts, shoving him. Chris looks at me with the saddest look and walks away.

Parents came running over asking what happened and if I was okay.

"Lets go home" Mark says, I sat up holding my nose letting tears fall.

"I-i'm sorry. I didn't mean to-" Joey cut me off by kissing me gently and smiling.

"This isn't your fault" I smile weakly and stand back up.

"Lets just go to my place and call it night with watching movies" Joey says, to all of us.

Great Kayla you ruined everything.

I'm sorry this chapter really sucked it's four forty five in the morning and i'm pulling an all nighter because I have a orthodontist appointment early in the morning.
