Surprisingly, the heart didn't touch the ground, it landed in Jonathan's book. I spot it and run around him in circles, trying to catch the small being. When I do, I end up in a position, hugging Jonathan so closely that if I moved one bit closer-. Then I see a bunch of his friends, walking over. In a sense of panic, I jump into the trash can next to me. The school bell rings, giving my heart the idea to come out. It grabs my finger and drags me to him. I manage to steer it to the right but it turns back around, speeding towards Jonathan. I brace myself for impact but before we do, I trip on a pebble, causing my to fly up in the air, right over Jonathan.
I crash hard onto the concrete, when I don't see my heart. I start to panic when I see him, following Jonathan through the front doors of the school. I sprint up the stairs, almost tripping, and burst through the doors. I gasp when I see the heart, trying to hug Jonathan. The poor boy looked so confused and embarrassed, sitting on the ground, probably tripped by the organ. I run over and grab one of the heart's arms, then I grabs Jonathan's finger, refusing to be taken away. We stop for a second when Jonathan looks at me, raising his eyebrows as if he were asking me about the heart.
