"Who is she?"

"Blair! We are not to question the dark lord's intentions with this girl-"

"I deserve to know who this mysterious girl is. We were ordered to look after her and I want an explanation as to why I was awoken from my slumber to attend to her"

I heard a scoff. "We barely sleep, Blair. Stop making excuses"

"We should leave her, and return when she has awoken" footsteps were heard walking away from where I lay. I visibly relaxed. "Now".

My eyes were closed shut, listening to these foolish girls ramble on about my identity. After they had left, opening my eyes slowly, I immediately brought my palm to my head. The pain felt as if needles were being shot into my skull.  I moaned in pain, heaving silently. The memories from last night made my heart sink. After my father had told me everything, I must have fainted. The air that surrounded me was humid and hummed strangely. My senses were on overdrive, I could hear a conversation from below me and the crashing of swords in the distance. What is happening to me? I had learned that I was in fact half demon last night, which was still a surprise to me, even though I had transformed into a beast subconsciously. However, the part where he mentioned me being one of the most powerful beings in the universe... that was harder to believe. I was a good fighter I knew that much, but I don't believe that I have that much power. It was madness; but nothing could surprise me anymore, I am the spawn of the devil and to be honest, I was half okay with it. If the devil himself could love me who was I to complain? It would take some getting used to, but I had to try.

The room was pretty dark, apart from a white glow that seeped through the stained glass windows. Colours danced around the room, reds, blues and purples. Sitting upright in the hammock, I admired the room. The walls were a deep purple and the furniture was gold and looked like it was made for royalty. In the far corner of the room, there was small cot, white and petite. Engraved in the side were the sun and a crescent moon. Somehow, this room began to become unusually familiar to me. This had been my room, when I was a child I could feel it. I cannot imagine what it was like for Catriona; her child was ripped away from her and she had no choice in the matter. All because she fell in love with the devil. What would happen to me now? I remember everything that Hades told me, but I was still so confused as to where I fit into all of this. I knew the elders of heaven were the enemy to not just me but the whole of hell; but why do I have a feeling that there is a greater enemy out there?

Being so lost in my thoughts, I failed to realise that someone had entered the room. Looking towards the cream coloured double doors, a women that wore black robes and carried a pile of clothes in her hands, stood staring at me with curiosity. A maid. Her eyes were wide, and a dark brown, the same as her hair that was neatly tucked away in a bun on top of her head.

She bowed her head quickly, after realising she had been staring at me. "I am sorry, my highness. I was told to bring you your clothing, my lord wishes to speak with you" her voice was nervous and unsettled, but I tried my best to calm her nerves.

"Please, call me Amara. You have nothing to fear, what is your name" I smiled warmly so she started to walk towards my hammock. Looking behind her, two guards slowly closed the doors behind her. Where they always there? The girl had no wings, but her nails were black and clawed, and red scales framed her face. I had never seen a demon like her, she was definitely special.

"My name is Bella, your high- Amara" she laid the clothes on the mahogany draws besides my hammock. "Do you want me to run you a bath?" she asked politely, her small lips in a small smile. She was a pretty girl, and seemed very shy which reminded me of myself a while ago. Polite, do as she's told Amara was definitely gone for good.

"Do not bother yourself Bella, tell me what type of demon are you? I've never seen one such as you" I still stood besides the cot, folding my arms over my chest. As I did this, I realised that I was dressed in a long, black silk dress that touched my knees by hugged me slightly as it was a little too small. Who in the world changed me!

"I am half demon, half fallen angel. I do not have wings or a tail, but possess some attributes from both"

There was so much that I did not understand about the demon world, and I wanted to learn more about its history.

"Thank you Bella, that will be all" giving her a tight lipped smile, she left the room quietly but quickly. Sighing, I walked over to the clothes that she had given me and then proceeded to the bathroom.

After spending an hour in the bath, which by the way was definitely needed; I wrapped a towel around my sore body and looked at the clothing I had been given. My outfit consisted of leather jeans, black vest top and a blood red jacket. I rolled my eyes; this definitely looked like an outfit a demon would wear. After I slipped the clothes on- no, more like tugged them onto my body because of the inconvenient material I stepped out of the bathroom.

I walked to the vanity dresser to brush through my long hair and tie it into a pony tail. There was lettering at the top of the mirror, initials of C.S. My mother's name...

Something did not feel right. The window in the room was open, and the curtains swayed softly against the warm air. Looking to my right, I could see that the door was cracked open. Closing my eyes I focused on amplifying my senses. I could hear breathing to the right of me. Suddenly, I felt movement behind me, so I quickly caught the culprit by surprise and barrelled them to the wall in inhuman speed.

"It seems I may have underestimated you, princess. But you recognised my presence far too late. If I were the enemy, you'd already be dead" He grinned sinisterly, at me through the darkness of the room. Shrugging him off, almost feeling revolted to have even touched him I clenched my fists.

"You couldn't enter the room like a normal person could you?" The man simply raised his eyebrows and gave me a weird look.

"That's because I am not" he spoke in an annoyed tone which infuriated me further, but I took a deep breath to calm myself down.

"Who is to say you aren't the enemy, you have given me no reason to trust you; commander Thanatos why are you in my room?" my eyes scanned his appearance briefly before returning my eyes back to his dark blue ones. He wore something completely different to what he wore when we had first encountered one another; he seemed more relaxed. There was no cape, but a black knitted jumper that clung to his incredibly large shoulders with a leather weapon holster.

Stepping back from him significantly, I await his answer.

"Oh I am an enemy in some respects, especially to those who piss me off... enough, this conversation is already boring me, and your father wants to see you. Now." Damian stomped over to my bedroom door, and gave me an annoyed look, as if I were wasting his time. I rolled my eyes and put my knee high boots on as quickly as I could and followed him out of my room.

As we walked down a hallway that looked like every other corridor we had turned down; I felt dread replace itself into my heart. The thought of Christopher and the promise I made was still so fresh in my mind that I grew impatient. If the elders were to find out about Christopher's heritage, he could be in serious danger. Not only that, but Ashia knows how much he means to me... that is if she is still alive to tell the tale.
