Finally we have reached the final leg of William and Angela's story. And as you saw earlier, Dalton and Angela just got finished celebrating their Graduation. All is well...... for now.
I woke up refreshed and excited for dinner tonight. Just Will and I. I made breakfast for everyone before Matt and Jeff flew out. They had a show they had to make it to by tonight. My parents had to go out of town for work or something and they wouldn't be back until the next morning. Which meant, it was just us that night.
My friends went home to spend some more time with their families. The day passed quickly and I soon found myself in the closet, getting ready for dinner. It was 'formal' Will said. I pulled my dress over my head and slid the hem to it's place above my knee. It was a simple cocktail dress. And I had plenty of those being a lawyer's daughter who went to many powerful people's homes and parties. I leaned over and pulled my shoes on, fastening the clasp and straightening up.
"Beautiful." Will said from behind me.
I turned with a smile on my face. "Thank you. You look very handsome." I smiled at his suit. It was all black with a dark purple tie and cuff links.
He smiled, "I only pale in comparison to you my Love."
I laughed and walked towards him. He put my shawl on my arms and handed me my purse. "Thank you." He kissed my hand and put it on his arm, escorting me to the car. We took my Navigator which Will often drove nowadays.
When we got to the restaurant, we were seated in a private corner that was curtained off to the rest of the dining room. "Can I start you off with some wine or champagne sir?" The waiter asked Will.
"Yes. We'll have the Perrier Jouët Blason Rosé."
He nodded, "very fine choice sir. Appetizers?"
"The Smoked Mozzarella Fonduta please."
"Very good. I'll have those right out. Curtains open or closed?"
"Open is fine."
He nodded again and walked out. "Wow. What's the occasion?" I asked.
He laughed and took my hand, "we are celebrating my dear. You've graduated."
"And.... you have me all to yourself now?"
"You said it, not me." He laughed. "I just thought it'd be nice."
"It is."
"Good!" He smiled, "then it's working!" He kissed my hand and turned to his menu. "What are you thinking?"
"Hmmm." I thought. "Maybe the Five Cheese Ziti al Forno...." I trailed off.
"Fine choice ma'am." Will joked. He leaned over the table and kissed me.
A couple minutes later the waiter came back with a bottle and a tray. "I must caution you, the fonduta is terrible hot."
"Thank you." Will answered.
The waiter opened the champagne and poured us each a glass then put it on ice. "And what will we be having for dinner sir?"
"For the lady, the Five Cheese Ziti al Forno." The waiter nodded, "and I will be having the Steak Toscano."
"Very fine choices. I'll put that in right away. Is there anything else I can get you?"
"No, thank you. That will be fine."
He nodded and left. "Not like I don't like this place, but I could do without all the 'very fine choice' stuff." I laughed.
"I know Love. The only downfall." He lifted his glass and I did the same. "To us, to you and your accomplishments and to the fates."
