My mother nodded grimly. Then she turned.
"You should get ready. Your first fight is this evening. Gather your generals. Do what you have to do. Tonight, the empire shall know your place."
I bowed my head in her direction. "Of course, mother. But first, can I see father?"
She bit her bottom lip. "He's in the infirmary, badly wounded."
(Time sweep)
When I arrived, I closed the door behind me and lowered the hood I had used to cover my face. I saw my father on a table and gasped.
Gashes, scrapes, and burns covered his body. His armor broken in several places. A great number of tubes full of, according to my mother, quintessence, flowed into my father's body. It looked disgusting. I scrunched up my face.
Wrinkles!
Agh no I can't get those, I thought. I relaxed, and walked up to my father's bedside, pulling up a chair. I didn't say anything for quite a long moment. But I decided even if he was in a coma, he might still hear me.
I sat back. "Where the Paladins of new too much for you, dear father? Earthlings, I've been told they are. Accompanied by both Alfor's daughter, and his advisor, the two Alteans you missed in destroying. How does that feel?"
He said nothing.
I continued. "The Great Emperor Zarkon, Ruler of the Universe for the last 10,000 years, defeated by Earthlings. You must be desperate to be needing my help. But don't worry, father. I'll do better," I sneered.
I collected my posture and began to make my way to the exit. Before I put my hood back on and left. I turned back and whispered, "You aren't the father I remember." Then, I disappeared back into the vast hallways, heading for my chamber.
(Time sweep again lol)
Some Galra ShipAxca paced the length of the ship they were in, worried. What would the Prince say when he saw her with only one satchel? He'd be disappointed for sure, who knew what he'd do with her.
The bright orange alien pouted in her direction. "You're looking a little sad, Axca. Are you not glad seeing us?"
"It's not that, Ezor-"
"If you're worried about the satchel you brought, it's fine," Zethrid growled, crossing her arms. "At least you didn't come back empty-handed from that Weblum."
"I didn't try hard enough-"
Narti's cat meowed.
"Narti is right. Don't take this too hard on yourself, you did fine. Besides you're the Prince's favorite he could never be angry with you," Ezor replied, giving her a sweet smile.
Axca couldn't help but smile back. "Thanks guys, I guess I will be ok."
"Awwwww c'mere ya big worrywart," Ezor purred and pulled her into a hug. Narti joined in, while her cat nuzzled Axca's cheek. Zethrid rolled her eyes, but gave her a big hug as well.
"Ahem."
Axca looked up to see Prince Lotor looking down upon them, a serious expression masking his face. The other generals pulled away and looked down. Axca took a steady breath and stepped up.
"I'm sorry, Prince Lotor, I was only able to obtain one satchel of scaultrite-" she started.
What happened next took her completely by surprise.
Before she knew it, Lotor had embraced her, hugging tightly. She gasped, slightly in shock.
"Never mind that. I'm just glad you returned to us," he said. Realizing what he was doing, he stood straight, brushing his bangs back. The other girls had their eyes wide too (except Narti. Sorry Narti).
He sat down, rubbing his eyes. Then, after stretching out, he rested his head on his hand, and told his generals, "Ladies, I suggest you prepare yourselves. Tonight, we're going to the fighting arena."

WHO SAW S3I DID I STAYED UP TO BINGE WATCH IT
SO OK ⚠️SPOILER ALERT⚠️ HAGGAR AND ZARKON ARE MARRIED. THEY USED TO BE A REALLY HAPPY SWEET COUPLE BUT THE QUINTESSENCE AFFECTED THEM BADLY. I THINK HAGGAR (previously Honerva) IS PROBABLY LOTOR'S MOTHER. IT IS VERY LIKELY, SO MY FIC IS A-OKAY.
THERE ARE A LOT OF THEORIES AS IN WHY LOTOR WAS NOT SEEN AND WHY THE HELMET WAS GIVEN TO BBY ALLURA AND WHY LOTOR LOOKS LIKE NEITHER OF HIS PARENTS. BUT WE CAN GET TO THAT LATER
ANYWHO, I WROTE THIS ALL IN ONE GO IM SO PROUD.
I just came back from my stay at Texas and I'm sad. I had a lot of fun with my cousins. Hopefully my mom will let me go again for winter break.
I hope you enjoyed this chapter (fanart not mine)
