Okay so I have got a big national trust book that has a list of places to visit with a detailed description of the destination and additional information about wheelchair access. So here is my favorite spot........
Antony House (Torpoint, Cornwall, PL11 2QA)
So this house is still the family home of the Carew Poles after hundreds of years, it is a beautiful 18th century house. The gardens surrounding the house offers a sweeping view of the River Lynher and also has formal gardens. I personally find the view of the house alone absolutely breathtaking, the inside is even more impressive, with giant oil paintings and an elegant library. My favorite feature is the Steinway Piano, every key is unmarked and plays perfectly, if you can play and ask the guide in that room they will most probably let you play. The historical feel to the place is truly engrossing.
Outside there are family friendly events and modern sculptures throughout the formal garden and the woodland gardens. There are games and croquet on the lawn along with quizzes and trails.
As additional interesting information, Alice in Wonderland Through the Looking Glass was filmed at Antony House.
There is a small bookshop and cafe located near the house. The house is open 12:30 til 4:30 there is also a timed ticket entry upon arrival.
