The janitor's mouth cracked into what looked to be a smile. He shook his head pulling the skin back over his eyes, blinding him once more. "Eheh.. don't count on it kid..." He sniffed giving Daya a mutual grin.
Daya smiled, patting his face, that was still wet with tears.
The Janitor stood up from the crate, feeling better than before. "That was nice.. but we must push on, we have to be quicker now." He replied, already beginning to walk deeper into the Maw.
"If you say so!" Daya smiled, the Janitor's new attitude was in a way comforting.

It felt like hours, the Janitor's shortcut made Daya wonder how far their destination already was. "Smells rather damp down here." The child stated.
"Mhm.."
The long corridors lead to a bigger room full of water. Something about it however was off.
It smelled horrible.
It smelled like a corpse.
"Jeez Louis..." The Janitor grunted, waving his hand around in an attempt to get the smell away from his nose. "It smells worse than usual down here."
He cleared his throat. They stood at the edge of the doorway. "GRANNY?" He shouted cupping his hand around the side of his mouth.
His voice echoed all the way through the room, hitting a silent void. There was no movement in the water. He heard nothing...
Putting Daya lightly in the bag he yelled again. Getting no response once more.
He tried several times, wondering where that old hag was. The smell was making them light headed. So much so that the janitor consulted jumping in the water to look for her himself. In the end however he decided to feel around the water.
Big mistake.
The moment his finger tips touched the murky water he was met with a painful jolt. "AUGH!" He hissed, drawing his hand back quickly.
Electricity was coursing through the water.
Only then did he put two and two together... the smell.. was coming from the Granny's dead body.
