Imagine that Person A of your polyship has wings, and nobody else does.

Raphael was by far the favourite out of our group. Sometimes, I wanted to be sad about that, but then those silvery wings would wrap around me and my jealousy would be forgotten.

It was happening again. Raphael and Jason were in the kitchen, hugging, kissing, being cute in general. I padded up to the two, wanting to feel loved a bit more, but I was ignored. I put my hand on the small of Jase's back and he shook me off. I flinched back a bit, stung, but tried to pretend nothing had happened. Who was I to interrupt? I should let them be alone for a bit.

I grabbed a glass from the cupboard and filled it with water, doing my best to ignore Raph's laughter as Jase started to tickle him. Raph's laugh was one of the most beautiful noises I had ever heard, though. It was, rich, deep, full of happiness. Hard to ignore, especially since I'd been in love with the guy for years.

"I'm gonna go sleep. It's almost midnight, I have work tomorrow," I muttered, not wanting to interrupt.

"Jase- Jase, get off," Raph giggled. "Good night, Eric."

Jason jumped on him again, and Raphael stepped back in surprise, wings exploding into a mess of feathers that hit me, knocking me into the wall of cupboards next to me.

I felt a numb pain in my side from where a handle had stabbed me, and the more I tried to ignore it, the sharper it grew. I let out a gasp of surprise, and felt tears rush down my face.

"Christ, Eric, did I hurt you?" Raphael asked, concerned.

"No- I'm alright," I lied, wiping away the tears that had appeared because of the hurt. It was shock, I wasn't in danger. I always cry when I'm hurt, but I cry because of surprise, not because I need to go to a hospital.

"I'm so sorry, Love," Jason apologised.

"It's alright. Have fun," I smile, not really meaning it. Why am I so damned jealous all the time?

"We'll be in bed soon, I promise," Jason winks. Yeah, sure.

I exit the room, pushing Raph's wings as gently as my anger will allow, making my way up to the bedroom. I put the glass of water on the bedside table and strip, climbing under the covers. I pull them over my head, attempting to block out the noise of the two.

I wake up to the feeling of a strong pair of arms around me. "I'm sorry," Jason whispers. "I love you."

"I love you too, Jase."

"What about me?" Raphael whines, pretending to be upset. His torso presses against my back, and a wing fans across me and Jason, covering us. It feels protective, warm, and I like this a lot.

"Mmm, I love you too," I say tiredly. "And your wings."

"Your wings are almost as pretty as your face," Jason adds.

"That's sweet," Raph says, and slips an arm around my waist. "You really need to sleep. Both of you."

"Yes, Sir," Jase jokes, and I giggle. I really do love these two. I close my eyes, a content smile on my lips.

I don't sleep for another hour, busy enjoying the feeling of Raph's wing holding the three of us close.
