Julia's POV
Two years ago I had everything. A best friend, a fiance, a flourishing job, and a mother who didn't bother me.
Now, the only thing I have is a flourishing job, and a mother who doesn't want to let me be.
For the millionth time that day, I looked at the invitation card on my table that had been sent by mail. Sophie was having her engagement party tonight.
I couldn't help but remember my engagement party. My fiance had confessed that he was having an affair with Sophie.
I shook my head. It wouldn't do me any good to remember that day.
I quickly dressed up, looked at my self in the mirror, then set out for the party.
