12 texts and 5 missed phone calls

I've been ignoring Beau all weekend. It's Monday and I've been avoiding him.

Ever since I found out I had feelings for him I've kept my distance.

He doesn't want to be in a relationship with me, why would he?

He made his intentions clear since day one...

Sex. Just sex.

Even if he did like me back, I am not losing that competition.

Is it losing if I quit, I'll just say -- personal reasons. Right? He can't do anything about it.

It's time to face the beast, I'm going to talk to him.

It's lunch time now, instead of directly heading to lunch I decide to go out and look for Beau. Which wasn't that hard since he was also looking for me too.

I was on my way to his locker when I literally bump into him falling and him catching me just like the first day we met.

"I -uh, um." I stutter, not thinking of anything to say.

We stay like this for what feels like minutes when in reality it was only seconds. He stands me back up right and looks into my eyes.

"Hey beautiful, why have you been avoiding me?" He says, the smallest flash of hurt in his eyes.

     "I -um..."

C'mon Alison! Speak.

"I need to talk to you." I say confidently.

"Well, that's never good." He says worry already in his voice.

"I don't think I can do this anymore -- us." I say thinking he understood.

"What? What do you mean?" He asks confused.

"The whole proposition thing I can't do it anymore," I'm about to tell him why when I stop myself. He doesn't want to be with me. He wants me for sex. I have to remember that. There's no point in telling him and putting myself out there just to be let down. I quickly think of an excuse, another reason to quit. "I'm dating someone."

"What? Since when?!" He asks confused and even the slightest bit of anger maybe.

"Oh, yah know, it just -- happened. I mean it's not like it was against the rules, you said no sex. We haven't had sex." I add quickly before he can protest. "I'm sorry." I say walking away.

Just as I'm about to relax Beau calls out for me from behind me.

"Wait!" I stop but don't turn around. "Who is he?" Not having an answer I keep walking, down the hall, through the doors, and into the lunch room.

I see my group of friends as sit down next to them interrupting their conversation.

     "Guys. I need a boyfriend."
