Harry and Ron were dressed in new dark grey robes that Mrs Weasley got for them before they arrived. She wanted her boys to look smart on their first day of work.

"Oh look at you! First day of work....All grown up!" Mr Weasley said as soon as they entered the ministry. "Need to work on your timing." He added looking at his watch.

"Yea, we were delayed." Ron said throwing Bifford a dirty look.

Bifford looked extremely uncomfortable, cleared his threat and said "I'll take you to the Minister before I introduce you to Hestia Jones, head of the Auror department."

"Wait- Ron, I need to tell you somthing." Mr Weasley said. He looked very upset.

"We are already late, Mr Weasley. Perhaps later." Bifford said before turning to Harry and Ron and saying "come on!"

"I'll come to your office in a bit, dad." Ron said following Bifford. "Good luck!" Mr Weasley called to them as they walked away.

They had arrived at a tall cherry wooden door with golden handles and decorations, which lead to the Office of the minister for magic.

"Harry! Ron!" Kingsley said jumping to his feet and coming forward to shake their hands. "I trust your journey was not made too difficult."

"It was fine." Harry said before Ron could say anything. Bifford shifted uncomfortably beside them.

"Thank you Bifford, you can get back work now." Kingsley told Bifford who nodded and left at once.

"I know you haven't had a body guard before but I thought it was best to be safe than sorry." Kingsley said as soon as the door shut. "Bifford is new but a loyal and determined fellow, I thought he would make you both least uncomfortable, compared to our other bodyguards."

"We won't be needing him anymore would we?" Ron said hopefully.

"I'm afraid he is to be at your side whenever you aren't at the ministry. He will be staying at Craster's town when you are at the burrow." Kingsley said.

"For how long?" Ron said, his jaw dropping in outrage.

"For as long as I think you need protection." Kingsley said firmly. "I can't have anymore Weasleys taken."

"What do you mean? Who was taken?" Ron said jumping to his feet in panic.

"You haven't heard? I thought someone would have sent word to you by now." Kingsley said.

"No, no one said anything." Ron said. "Who was taken?"

"Your grandfather, Septimus Weasley." Kingsley said and Ron fell back into his chair in shock. "Perhaps you want to be with your family at this time, but I suggest you a better use of your time by making yourself stronger to protect yourself from Flamel. Your father chose to stay too."

Ron kept silent, still in shock.

"You are right. We need to stay and find a way to stop Flamel." Harry said.

"Stop Flamel? No, your job is to train to become an Auror." Kingsley said at once.

"What about Flamel?" Harry asked.
