I stuff the remainder of folded clothes into my suitcase, sighing.

"Why do I have to go to Finn's stupid beach house for the summer?" I groan, "Nobody my age is even going to be there." I complain, hoping my mother will bail me out.

"Addy, I told you Reese is more than welcome to join us, and a couple of Finn's friends have kids you're age. It'll be fun." She optimistically states, hoping to change my mind on the whole situation.

"Mom, Reese is going to New Zealand, why would she want to go to some lame beach house in California, when she could go to New Zealand?" I say exasperatedly, waving my hands in the air.

"Monty and Lindsay will be there, you can hang out with them?" My mom states, it coming out as more of a question.

"Ugh, she's going to be there, why does Monty have to bring her?" I grumble, throwing my head back to let out a dry chuckle. This is just ridiculous, my luck anyways.

"Addy Elizabeth Fuller, don't make me smack you!" She pauses, "Look at the bright side, there might be some hot guys there."She laughs, nudging me lightly with her elbow.

"Fine, I'll go." I groan, slumping down on my bed with a yawn.

Mom leaves the room, to go pack her own things, while I sit here, texting Reese.

R: I would totally blow off this trip and come with you, but it's New Zealand! Don't be afraid to text me though, alright love?

I respond back, grinning.

A: Damn you for leaving me like this, you're so lucky I love you. Anyways, I'm gonna go hunt down Monty, let's just hope that ho-bag isn't with him! Story of my life, have fun. :)

I laugh at Reese's response, locking my phone and standing to walk to the window. I instantly spot the family tree house, which lays on one of many branches on the huge oak tree. However, I nearly gag when I see what's at the base of it. There stands Monty, or should I say leans Monty, as he makes out with his skank of a girlfriend. How lovely, or did I mean putrid? The world will never know...

Just as I begin to have lovely thoughts about Lindsay, ones that include her being thrown off a cliff, she leaves, making sure to sway her hips sassily in her departure. I roll my eyes and snort, turning and running out of my room, down the stairs, and into the backyard, just in time to see my brother climb up the ladder.

I follow him up, flashing him a smile as I sit Indian style on the floor. I adjust my ponytail, and pull my favorite baseball cap down tighter on my head.

"So is Paris Hilton really coming on summer vacation with us? Or am I just dreaming?" I state sarcastically, pulling on a baseball glove and tossing a nearby softball at him.

He catches it, shaking his head as he laughs, before speaking.

"Look, I know you don't like her, but can you at least try to be nice?" He asks me.

"What makes you think I won't be nice?" I laugh as he tilts his head, giving me a menacing glare. "Okay, I get it, I'll try, no promises though." I state, putting my hands up in defense.

He only stares at me, lifting his eyebrows in anticipation.

"Fine! I promise!" I hiss, but I can't help the grin tugging at the corners of my lips.

"Good, and now that that's over with, what's the plan for tomorrow?" He questions me, twirling in his chair.

"We leave at 6, since it's a five hour drive. I guess genius made plans with some of his butt buddies, and we're going boating at noon tomorrow." I say roughly, shaking my head.
