Chapter 2

Once i had returned to my room, Rob locked the door again and spoke loudly over the Mic on the celing.

"you know what is happening to day, don't you, Autumn?" He asked, knowing that i already knew exactically what he was talking about.

"Yes, Rob. My parents are coming to get me because I am normal." I said to him, wanting to take a quick nap. "Please wake me when they are here, i am very tired. nite nite!!"

the mic turns back on for rob's reply, "ok, sweetheart, goodnite."

I had the same dream that i did last nite, but the only difference was that they were happy, with a healthy baby that was growing inside her. She must be really happy.

I wake to a crash in the office where rob should be. I look around my room, looking for something that i could use to see, concidering rob turned off the light. I grab the flashlight by my doll house a coupple feet away and switch it on. I look over to the door and listen for the farmiliar low hum of the door, signilaing that its locked, but i dont hear it this time.

i walk over to the big door and hear nothing. I slowly reach up to grasp the door handle and turn it slightly, making a small clicking sound. I pull it open and walk into the farmiliar hallway with one door. I make my way up the steps and stop once i hear people talking.

I can make out Rob's voice out of the people arguing. I can't make out full sentences, but what i can hear leads me to think that they are arguing about me.

"She is not... NO!! ... why, why do you think that.... SHE IS NOT HUMAN... i may have made her, but she is not normal..." its a woman's voice that i hear yelling behind the door.

I crawl further up the stairs so i am able to hear more of what they are saying. this time, its a man that speaks, "Kelli, please, calm down, were in this together! we did get married and have a child for a reason! please, just give her some time."

She didnt move, but i can tell that she is glaring at him. "Joseph, we married because we loved eachother, not to have a crazy baby," she stayed silent for a long while, "fine we will give her a chance."

She starts walking towards the door i was leaning against and i crawl down half of the steps that i had been on, after making a creaking sound that got their attention. "what was that?" i heard Kelli ask.

i sprint down the last few steps as she opens the door, she is still looking at Rob and her husband, Joseph. "We will see how much she is like you and I. I don't consider her mine." I open the door to my room and get into the place that i was in before, putting the flashlight down and switching on the lights.

You can hear her coming down the stairs, with 2 more pairs of footsteps following behind her.

I rush to the bed and sit in the position i was in before. Crossing my legs, and placing my hands on my lap.

Rob scans his key card and the door opens, once again, I hear the -bzzzzzt CLicK-. She walks in, and i admire her face until she sees me and it pinches into a scowl looking around.

when she realizes she has a tenced posture, she pats down her skirt and pulls down her shirt. Then, after standing up straight, she pushes back the loose pieces of hair behind her ear.

"Hello" she spat at me. I can tell she is afraid of me, but just to be sure...

I take one step closer and extend my hand. Just as i thought, she jumped and took a step back. I place my hand in front of me again, folding my hands. She steps closer once more and extends her arms, like she wants to hug me. What is she doing? I thought to myself.

I come closer anyways and I practically leap into her arms. She wraps her arms around me and i whisper in her ear "Mommy! I knew you still loved me."

I could feel her squeeze my torso.

Wait, what is she doing? she isn't hugging me! LET GO, LET GO, LET GO!!!!

I practically pushed her off of me when i realized what she was looking for... My wings.

I made sure that the other people in the room dont notice that i pushed her off of me. I kept my hands on her sholders so they think i missed her.

She tries to pull me back into the hug, but before she can wrap her arms around me, I start to walk to Rob.

"Is this really mommy? She is too pretty to be my mommy." Yes, i did miss her, but WHY did she have to ruin it by looking for my wings? I wont tell her that i have them. Never. I can tell that she has been trying to expose me.

I wont love her the way i should, but i will love her.

"Yes, Autumn, she is your mommy. And, guess what?!" he kneels down in front of me so he is eye level with me. "You get to go home! How exciting is that?!" he starts to tickle me and i scream in delight, trying to push him off of me.

He stops the tickle fight and helps me to my feet. I run to my dad and hug his legs. He leans down and grabs me. He holds me, like he would as if he were going to burp a baby. I wrap my arms around his neck, and whisper in his ear, "Daddy! I love you, im glad you still love me."

His chest bounces as he giggles at me. I give him a small kiss on the cheek.
