This isn't really an entry, more of an explanation.

Elizabeta turned, to escape the traffic, onto a little country road she'd taken a hundred times before. She checked her watch and cursed. She was supposed to be making dinner. So much for that. Daniel would have to deal with take-out.

She drove casually down the road that badly needed more paving, tapping her nails against the wheel. The sun set on the horizon. She sighed as she saw headlights behind her. " There's enough road for both of us buddy, go around me if you're in such a rush." She mumbled.

She glanced occasionally in her mirror to see the car still tailgating her. She came to a fork in the road. She paused for a moment to decide which way would get her to a take-out place and home again faster.

The car behind her didn't slow down when she stopped. If anything, it sped up. Another, unsuspecting, car approached the fork. The car behind Eliza zoomed closer as she checked her mirror one last time.

Her eyes widened as the car connected with her bumper. It wasn't as hard of a hit, since the driver had finally realized what was happening and slammed on their breaks.

The car had just enough for left to push Eliza out into the fork. The other car didn't have time to process what happened and rammed into her at full speed.

The drivers of the two barely damaged cars got out and rushed over. They called the hospital and pulled her out of the smashed car.

The machines beeped around her as one of the doctors dialed her brother. " Yes, are you Daniel?"

" Good thing we could reach you."

" Elizabeta was in a car crash and is currently unconscious."

" We are unsure if she's going to wake up."
