"EVERYONE! Quick, come into the kitchen!" Suho yells, and everyone slowly enters, Sehun and Luhan once again completely disheveled. Will those two ever hold back?Suho takes a deep breath. "We got ourselves the biggest gig yet. It's at Chen's casino. The Black Diamond."
Come to think of it I have heard of that place before. It was on the news before after throwing some kind of ball. Long story short, hundreds were arrested, there were a few murders, and a lot of drunk people had no clue where they were. Apparently it's extremely expensive to get to, and despite its bad press, is still highly sought after and exclusive. Mafias, tycoons, all kinds of people including celebrities go. The fact that Chen got a job there amazes me, but the fact that we got a gig there amazed me even more.
"How much money?" Kris asks, tightly holding Tao on his lap. The sight is adorable, especially since Tao seems completely terrified as he tests out leaning into Kris's chest.
It's Chen's turn to stand up, probably knowing more since he works there. "He's giving us at least 200,000 ₩."
"Damn! That's the best yet. Fuck yeah!" Jongin gleams happily, showing his childish side as he effortlessly makes Kyungsoo laugh.
"This means we need to make a track list for the guy, so Chanyeol? Can you help with that?" Suho says, placing a few blank sheets of paper on the table. Chanyeol seems content and takes the pencil tucked behind his ear. His focus is enough to make my heart melt, the way his tongue sticks slightly out of his mouth and he begins writing confidently.
I don't realise that I'm staring until I hear a muffled voice and am brought back into reality by Xiumin's voice. "BAEKHYUN! Geez, I thought you were dead. Anyway, you got anymore songs?"
I think for a moment, then run to grab my music book, flicking through the pages of rejected songs until I find the perfect smooth, wordless jazz tune for the casino. I titled it summer rain, because it reminds me of the two. I was alone in the house one day, a summer day in fact, and everything was blissfully calm until a single droplet of rain fell against my window pane, followed by an enormous, silent storm. It's described all through the music, starting off simple and unnoticeable until it gradually ruins itself and changes tunes completely, leaving you in a dark mood. At least that's what it did to me.
I hand Xiumin the sheet of music, and he smiles as he reads it, but looks at me faintly, wondering why I paired such noted together. "I-I was frustrated that day." I lie, and he seems to believe me, passing the sheet to Chanyeol who immediately writes it down, taking the time to read it.
His face fills with content, which pleases me slightly and as I see his pupils dilate, it suddenly makes my heart skips a beat. It feels like I've been hit by a truck, but a truck filled with all my favourite things. Because for some reason, even though all I do is patch the boy up after he comes home, I seem to have an attraction towards him, and it's taking over my entire core.
"Okay then, I'll mail this to him and he'll send us back the details. All I know for sure is that we'll definitely have to wear something formal." Chen grabs the piece of paper and begins to fold it, ignoring everyone's looks of dismay. I don't own anything formal. What am I meant to wear? A suit? Is it like that? Or just a fancy blazer? A dress shirt? I have nothing!
"B-but I don't have anything formal." I squeal, my cheeks ruby red as I study Chen's amused face. I hate that I'm still so shy around everyone. But I'm a gay guy, surrounded by eleven attractive, also gay males, what else can I do?!
"You can borrow something from me, then. Since I'm pretty sure only my old clothes'll fit yo. Damn, you're tiny." Chen chuckles, leaving the room with the paper in his hand.

Tonight is the night. Everyone's been practising like crazy. All throughout the cabin, people were either singing or rapping, or simply running over lines. We could not afford to mess this up. The tension was high, almost no one spoke to each other. Not even Sehun and Luhan. And tonight is the night that we get to let all of our pent up passion, and need to sing out.
I've never been more nervous, because the only person I've ever performed to is my own reflection, and even then doubts were running marathons around my head. I fit snugly into Chen's old dress shirt and a pair of black tight jeans. I still feel a little ridiculous because of my pink hair, since the place is so professional and high-cut. But I just remind myself that people with either be too drunk to notice, or won't even look at us. As long as we play correctly, we get the money. And that's all that matters. These guys have looked after me so well, and I hate that if I didn't know them, I would have stayed away from them.
Immediately everyone hops in the truck, Kris and Sehun in charge of loading all the instruments, Chanyeol, deciding to carry his 'oh so precious' acoustic guitar. I can't deny he looks amazing and discreetly flamboyant in his suit, which makes him look like a kingsman or something. I sit cooped up between Luhan and Xiumin who are arguing over which colour should have been at the start of the rainbow, Lay giving off suspicious vibes as he sneaks something into his pocket and looks at everyone to make sure no one was looking. I manage to avert his gaze and stare out at the night sky, once again getting the sinking feeling in my stomach. I could never imagine myself sleeping out there.
Chanyeol came into my room earlier and forced me to cover up a cheek bruise with concealer. I again bombarded him with questions but to no avail, got shouted at repeatedly. I swear when I try and open up to this boy, I get nothing but cold, hard insults.
