Broken Promises

It's been about 3 weeks since Harry went to Boot Camp. I miss him a lot, but I'm also very happy for him. Since I'm a complete loner without harry, I have been hanging out with Jack whenever he's free. Honestly he's a really cool person to hang out with. He does flirt sometimes but he recovers quickly getting the hint. Back to harry now, he texts me everyday and calls me whenever he can. He's coming back next week so I'm very excited for that.

I just got back home from school. I pulled into my driveway and got out. I took out my house keys and unlocked the door to my house. I realized the lights were turned on in the kitchen. What? Mum doesn't come home this early form work. It's only 5 pm. I grab the closest thing to me which was the TV remote. I slowly creep into the kitchen. When I walk in I find a familiar mop of brown curls going through the pantry.

"Harry?!!"I shriek dropping the remote, and he turns around. He gives me a cute smile and opens his arms out for me. I immediately run to his arms and hug him real tight.

"Gah Sky- can't breathe" he struggled.

"Oh my god I thought you're coming back next week!?'" I say when we pull away.

"I lied, bootcamp finished yesterday and I arrived this morning. When you left for school this morning, I came in and asked your mom for the spare key and went back. Once school finished i came in. Just about 20 minutes ago"

"Oh god i missed you so much" I hug him again.

"Missed you too Sky" he said when we pulled away.

"Why were you going through our pantry?" I asked him as he grabbed a Doritos pack and some sodas for the both of us.

"Well I was hungry and I practically live here too so whatever" he shrugged as we both walked to the living room and sat down on the couch. I turned on the TV and a F.R.I.E.N.D.S rerun was on.

"So what did I miss while on Bootcamp?" He asked.

"Nothing much, just that Jack and I are dating now" I said as serious as possible with a shrug. I'm gonna mess with him. His eyes bulged out of his sockets.

"WHAT!?! YOU HATED THE GUY OH MY GOD SKYLAR" he shrieked. I just burst out laughing and he narrowed his eyes at me.

"What is so funny Skylar?" He asked.

"Oh my god you - you should have seen you- your face" I said trying to speak in between fits of laughter. He just flipped me off.

"I actually thought you were serious Sky"

"No I don't like him like that. He's like a brother to me, I was just messing with you. Buttt we have been hanging out and stuff and he's a nice friend. Not as awesome as you obviously, but he's a cool guy" I said and shrugged.

"Oh that's cool. I just need to talk to you about Bootcamp"

"Oh shit I'm so sorry haz I'm so selfish I didn't even ask you about Boot Camp I'm so sorry" I rushed my apology. I really do feel bad, he was so happy he had got it.

"Sky it's alright calm down" he said and I nodded and gestured for him to continue

"Okay so basically, you know how I auditioned as a solo artist?" He asked and I nodded.

"Well I didn't make it through as a solo artist but Simon put me in a band and we're going to the judges house"

"Oh my god that's awesome Haz, who's in your band?" I didn't watch that episode of X-factor since exams were going on that week. Lucky for Harry, he took them before I did due to X-factor.

"I think you saw Louis, Liam, Zayn and Niall's audition but yea none of them made it through alone so he put us in a band"

"Oh yea I saw their auditions they are really good harry, congratulations"

"So yea we're going to judges house. Then we have the live shows but, that's only if we make it through the judges house. The boys and I are going to Simon's. Our band name is One Direction and I came up with it" he grinned like baby that received a bunch of extra candy on Halloween.

"So where are you going? For Simon's house?"

"To Madrid" he says but he isn't that happy about it. What?

"That's amazing harry why do you seem sad?"

"Because If we make it through to the Live shows, I won't see you again for like 2 more months like I'm not even allowed to visit" Oh.

"Hey it's okay Harry, it's an amazing opportunity and we will skype and call and text each other all the time okay? Besides I will support you by voting for you okay?"

"Okay I leave in a week"

"I'm gonna help you pack" I said and gave him a hug.

-a week later at the airport-

"Hey I love you and I promise to call and text everyday and we can skype whenever possible alright?" Harry said and I nodded with a smile. Tears poured out of my eyes.

"Hey don't cry love I will be back before you know it okay?" He asked.

"Okay Harry I will miss you. Call and text everyday?" I asked and he nodded. Then I realized, where is his band mates? I thought they were supposed to be with him since they are in a band together.

"Where are your band mates?" I asked

"Oh they will be meeting me in Spain since we all live in different places. Zayn and Louis aren't even in Manchester" he said and I smiled.

He went over to Gemma, Anne and a Robin and gave each of them a hug. He went to my mum and hugged her too. The second I dreaded this whole time had finally came, his flight was called.

British Airways, Flight 108 boarding now to Madrid, Spain. Passengers may board the flight at Gate 6. Thank you.

"This is it Sky" Harry said with a weak smile.

"I love you Harry good luck and i will vote for you every time okay? And call me everyday and stay in touch?" I asked and he nodded with a smile.

"I promise" he said and walked in through Gate 6.

Little did I know that this was the last time I'm seeing him in person. Last time we part ways as best friends. Little did I know he was gonna leave me a broken promise.
