Chapter 3
Aaron sat on a wooden crate kept nearby and pulled out his electric guitar. Many a times he would stop for a second to admire this beauty which indeed was one of the best that he had come across. The moment he had laid his hands on this one for the first time, he made sure it belonged to him.
And yet, when has it ever happened that he has desired something and not got it. NEVER!
Before he could start playing, Dean broke in. "Hey there is a red-carpet fundraiser tonight at Savannah Hills, organised by the students of Madam Aleena's Academy Of Music. The guest list is full of the who's who of the art and music industry . And I can book us a gig. What do u say, guys? "
Before anyone could respond, he added " And there will be lots of paparazzi, spread in every nook and corner of the place. The word "paparazzi" caught Aaron's attention. Not that he cherished the dream of becoming a famous guitarist. He was happy in the music surrounding him. But the paparazzi was the only friend who showed the world how he was not like his father. He was still burning with rage about the incident at breakfast today.
It was time to meet these dear friends. After everybody's approval nods, they booked a performance at the show and started rehearsing. Soon it was dusk and time for them to go.
Meanwhile, at Savannah Hills, the guests had started pouring in. Madam Aleena commenced the event by giving a beautiful and inspirational speech. Chatter had broken out and the guests had started mingling. The students of the Academy performed a wonderful symphony. But there was still a swarm of photographers and journalists standing outside at the gate, waiting for their favourite boys to arrive. Soon enough, a black Porsche entered through the big iron gates, sped across the sprawling acres of lush greens and came to a screeching halt in front of the red carpet entrance. The doors opened and out stepped the members of "The Four Strings", Aaron, Dean, Savio and Ricky. As soon as they stepped out, the shutterbugs sprung into action. With the camera flashing in their faces and reporters throwing eager questions at them, they managed to make their way inside while promising to answer all their questions later.
Once inside, the boys moved to the backstage to assemble their instruments and gear up for their jam, except for Aaron. He stayed put and scanned the crowd looking for someone. There she was ! Dressed elegantly with her silvery white hair tied in a perfect bun, Madam Aleena was busy chatting animatedly to a bunch of guests.
Not many knew that she was his first ever critic as well as his first supporter. She was the chief guest for the Annual Art Festival at his school, where a very young and shy Aaron had jammed for the first time in front of an audience.
Making a mental note of meeting her later he headed backstage.15 minutes later The Four Strings were up on the stage, ready to enthrall their audience.
Little did Aaron know that this night would change his life forever.
