"Hey Johnson, is Sammy here?" I ask when the blond haired boy opens the door of the room he, Gilinsky, Nate and Sam share. He shakes his head.
"I thought he was studying with you," Jack tells me.
"Stas called and he left. It's fine, I'll just text him," I tell him.
"Wait, he ditched you for her? That's kinda screwed up," Jack says. Gilinsky pops up behind him.
"Hey Rachel!" he says. I wave.
"Sam ditched her for Stas and now she can't find him," Jack tells G.
"Well we were just getting ready to watch a movie if you wanna hang around until he gets back," Gilinsky tells me. I shrug, why not.
"Sure, sounds like fun. What are we watching?" I ask, following the other two into the room.
"21 Jump Street, only the best movie on planet earth," Johnson tells me. I take a seat on their futon and Gilinsky soon joins me.
"I have to agree with you on that one. Where's Nate?" I ask the other two.
"Probably in the library, he pretty much lives there nowadays," Gilinsky says. The movie starts and we all stop talking to watch Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill go through high school again. Sam isn't back by the time the bad guys are caught and the end credits are rolling, so we turn on the sequel.
"Is it cool if I crash here tonight? My friends are all going out to party and I'm not feeling the 'home alone' vibes tonight." It's true, Jennah had told me about the party right before I had left.
"Yeah of course Rach, you can have the futon or Sam's bed, whichever, do you wanna go change out of your jeans though?" Johnson asks.
"Oh, good idea." I stand and head up a floor to change into pajamas. When I get back to the boys' room, Nate has returned.
"Hey Rach," he says, scooting over on the couch so I can sit between him and G.
"Hey, how was the library?" I ask him.
"Oh, a real party. The Jacks told me about Sam and Stas," Nate says. I shrug.
"It's not a big deal," I tell him.
"Rach, we've been friends our whole lives, you can tell us things you can't tell your roommates," he says softly.
"Thanks bud, but I just wanna watch funny movies with cute actors and forget it all, at least for now," I tell him. He nods in understanding. We watch Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, this time in college. My eyes start to droop as the credits roll and I let out a yawn.
"I left my phone charger in my room, and my contacts. I should just head back honestly. I'll stop by in the morning, maybe we can go get breakfast or something," I tell the three boys.
"Are you sure Rach? We really don't care if you stay the night," Johnson tells me.
"I'll be fine bro, see you in the morning." Nate opens his arms and I walk in for a hug.
"He'll come around Rach, there's no way he's going to let a beautiful girl like you slip away, not that easily," Nate tells me. My eyes start to well up with tears as I pull away.
"Well, if you see him before I do, just let him know I love him?" I ask Nate.
"Of course. Don't cry ma, it'll all work out," he says. I smile a little.
"I swear my periods about to start, I don't know why else I would be crying," I say.
"OKAY! Let's all go to bed before Rachel starts up with her period talks. Goodnight friend, love you," Gilinsky says. I hug him and Johnson before heading back to my own room.
