To my murderer
It becomes easier to fake a smile
If you've been doing it for quite a while
Trust me I know
But that guilt hidden in your eyes
Doesn't it just gnaw at your soulAnd to my murderer
I apologise for the guilt you feel
For the person you killed
Was but a depressed little kid
Who constantly thought of happy memories
Even when happiness was a memory
And soon I found myself losing myself
Then when someone eventually tried to save me
There was nothing left to saveSo to my murderer
A thank you
We were all born to die
This life was merely fool's gold
I was tired of playing the fool
You actually did me a favour
So guilt is an emotion you should not feel
Because you might have killed me
But I died long before my death
And those that lost me
Only lost a living corpse
