Chapter 19

Jason's POV

"Jason what's wrong? Is everything okay?" Alexis' voice brought me back to the present, and I was still staring down at my phone. I shoved it back in my pants pocket, and got up. "I gotta go, I just got a text from my mom. She needs me to help out with Jasmine at home."

I gave Alexis a long and sweet kiss on the lips. "I love you. I'll call you later, okay?" She nodded, and I went outside to get on my motorcycle. On the drive to Zeke's house, I couldn't stop thinking about the worried expression on Alexis' face. I felt really bad lying to her, but I don't want her knowing anything about Matt, let alone being anywhere around him.

I pulled up at Zeke's house, got off my bike, and walked into his house. I found all of the guys in Zeke's room. As soon as I stepped foot in by them, they all started freaking out. After a minute of trying to speak calmly to them, I finally had enough.

"HEY! Guys, we all need to calm the fuck down. We gotta find a way to make Matt leave. Until I say so, I don't want ANYBODY telling Alexis about Matt. If he finds out that I have a girlfriend now, he is going to find a way to hurt me by hurting Alexis, and I refuse to let that happen. I want you guys to protect Alexis when I'm not around, especially at school."

They all nodded, knowing how important Alexis is to me. She is the love of my life and I am not going to lose her. I left Zeke's place and went to the store to buy some wrapping paper for Alexis' gift. Tomorrow is her eighteenth birthday, and I wanted everything to be perfect. I found some dark purple metallic wrapping paper, bought it, and headed home.

Once I got home, I said hello to my mom and my little sister, and ran upstairs to my room to wrap up Alexis' gift. I found some scotch tape, and a pair of scissors. A few minutes later, the gift was perfectly wrapped. I put the gift back inside my closet, and went downstairs to eat dinner.

After I ate, I went back up to my room and called Alexis. Since it was the weekend, I planned to hang out at her place tomorrow. After saying goodnight to my babygirl, I hung up and began getting ready for bed. I was really tired, and I needed my sleep. I got my sleep clothes on, I turned my bedroom light off and went to sleep.

I woke up at around ten in the morning, refreshed. I got up, stretched, and made my way to my closet. I got some clean clothes out, and headed to my bathroom to shower. Once I was clean, I changed into the clean clothes, brushed my hair and teeth, and walked into my room.

I grabbed Alexis' present out of my closet, and headed downstairs. Mom just got done making breakfast. I ate breakfast, and called Alexis to tell her that I was on the way over to her place. She said that was okay and I hung up. I grabbed her present, and my car keys, and headed to her place. I pulled up, got out, took the present out, and went to her front door.

I knocked, and Alexis opened the door to let me in. After I walked in, she noticed the present in my hands. "What's that?" I smiled and set the box down. "It's your present from me. Happy birthday, babygirl." She blushed. "Thank you for remembering. Is that present really for me? You didn't have to get me anything."

I shook my head with a small smile still plastered onto my face. "You deserve it. It's your birthday after all, you gotta have something." She nodded, and gave me a big kiss. I returned it, and pulled away. She began to open her present, and gasped at what she saw. God, I just hope that she likes it.
