The next morning, things all got off to a crazy start. It was a normal Saturday at first. I ate breakfast, I brushed my teeth.
Everything was normal. Except for the fact that my parents were completely gone. Not a trace of them anywhere. I figured they went on a quick shopping run. Normally, they would let us know before running out like that.
Since it's the weekend, I decided to head out to the HL. I called Maya and Rico and asked them to meet up. Maya couldn't make it but luckily Rico could. After brushing my teeth and getting dressed, I let my sister know that I was heading out. On the way there I saw Jeffy playing in the mud with a stick. I'm not even gonna ask.
We approached the treehouse and did what we usually did there.
"I've decided to change things up a bit," says Rico as he pulls out a Marvel comic, "and I wasn't disappointed."
I reply with a quick fact. "Did you know that Marvel characters are comics in the DC universe and vice versa?"
"Wow! Really?"
"I know! Its pretty cool how they agreed to something like that."
I love telling quick facts to my friends. Rico then begins to explain all the misadventures The Avengers get into. I listen, fascinated and leaning on the edge of my seat. There aren't a whole lot of people in this world who get as enthusiastic as we do about these kinds of things. Either way, I didn't know a whole lot about Marvel comics, so everything Rico explained to me was exciting.
I've recently come into watching anime, so I'm basically turning into that stereotypical 'nerd' character, but you know, who cares? I find myself explaining the plot of animes as simple as Love Live to animes as complex as Freezing Vibration.
We talk for a while about different subjects. Suddenly, there's a knock at the door. Maya comes in. She looks... off. Like she's seen some type of ghost.
"You guys really haven't figured it out yet?" she says sorta loud.
