My feet pounded into the hard dirt ground. I kicked up dust as I ran.

"Leo! If you want to get out of here alive you'd better run faster!" I shouted out over my Dirt caked shoulder.

I picked up my pace and leaped over a log. Hugging my gun to my chest I tucked and rolled, landing on one knee. I looked down the scope and fired behind me at the enemy.

The enemy being the police, of course.

I jumped up from my knee position and ran blindly ahead. I turned into an alleyway hoping for and escape, but unluckily for me it was blocked off with a rusty Cain fence.

"Dead end." I muttered. I turned to see if I was still being pursued. Yup, still was.

I threw my gun down and grabbed the knife  I had strapped to my waist. Gripping the knife between my teeth I started to climb up the fence.

When I had climbed to the top I looked down, searching for Leo. He was barely ahead of the Police. That boy was going to get himself killed. Or worse, caught.

I edged my way to the side of the building. there was a clothesline hanging over the alleyway. If I could get on it I could hang by my knees and try to reach Leo. But it might break from our weight.

Was I going to risk it all for a boy I had just met.

Heck no.

Sorry Leo.

I wedged my foot in between the edges of the bricks on the building and started climbing up to the sky. Once I was on the roof I looked over the edge.

The sight was not pretty. Leo had not gone down without a fight. There was blood everywhere. But Leo was still taken.

Shame. He seemed like a good guy from the two minutes I had known him.

I turned and ran, Then jumped from my roof to the next. And the next. And the next. Basically I was jumping roof to roof.
